Hurried footsteps echoed in the mansion as two figures walked down a narrow hall, one of the two struggling against the other. Of course, it was the young woman, Molly, attempting to escape from Ben's hold. But it did not take rocket science to know who would win in the struggle.
With his eyes fixating on each door he passed, Ben pulled Molly along by the arm, her hands securely handcuffed behind her back. How he got the handcuffs was a secret, but for those who knew him well, they would know that they were from Jeff. Jeff liked giving Ben his handcuffs so he could show off.
"Get your hands off me," Molly growled.
The young woman struggled against her captor's hold, unable to get free. Her skates caused her to trip every now and again, but much to her disdain, the little dweeb would help her. Not that she did not appreciate it or anything. She had just spent the past fifteen minutes like this, and the young male had not given her a single word on what he was going to do to her. It was making her worry. But Ben, on the other hand, had an iron grip on her arm, and seemed to have a confident air about him. It was like he knew she was too weak. And that is what got her even more agitated. So agitated that she did not even care where she was.
"Hello! I'm talking to you!" Molly shouted.
"Keep your mouth shut, or I'll sew your lips together to keep it that way," Ben grumbled, his eyes narrowing.
Molly frowned and glared at the elf in her frustration, not at all fazed by the suggestion. "Where are you taking me?"
Ben huffed and continued to walk to his destination. If he had known that he would have company in the Internet, the he would have prepared a spell or a song that would trap her in a crystal. Maybe then he would not be bothered by her constant yapping.
"I'm taking you to someone important. The host of this house asked me to bring anything that seemed suspicious. He wants answers," Ben replied, his eyes slowly moving to the side to look at her expression. "And based on your special gift, I think you have them..."
Molly gulped, trying to hide the chill that ran down her spine when he said that. The fact that he knew that she had this ability was enough to make her worry. So telling more people would only make her situation worse.
"And... what's he want to know about?" Molly asked.
Ben only kept to himself, his red eyes fixated down the hall.
Molly scowled and kept her skates steady.
"If you're going to take me to him, you might as well tell me," said Molly.
Ben turned his head a fraction to look back at her, his red eyes bearing into her own. Then he turned away with an uninterested sigh.
That's it, Molly thought. Enough of this crap.
In the heat of the moment, Molly lunged herself at the elf and crashed them both against the wall. She wanted to get the hell out of this place. Even if it meant getting a little collateral damage in the process. Molly knew that her mistress would arrive any minute, which is why she did not want to bother her with this pesky girl. But as soon as her weight was placed on top of the elf, the red of Ben's eyes glowed and his eyes burst into a bloody mess. The blood just gushed from his eyes, all over the walls and onto the floor. And with that, a red energy exploded from within him and sent Molly tumbling backwards, his cap flowing against his back.
