The car slowly made its way down the lively streets of Cooperville. Sonya turned the car into a large parking lot in front of a hotel. "Is this it?" Taylor asked studying the building. "Yeah, I'm pretty sure, Kymie Hotel." Sonya said pulling a piece of paper from the glove compartment, and checking. "Yeah, that's right, this is it." The girls got out of the car. "I'll go check us in, you guys get the stuff." Sonya said heading toward the revolving door. Taylor started to reach for the tripod strapped to the roof. "No!" Allison yelled grabbing Taylor's hand. "I'll get it." Taylor released the tripod and walked around to the trunk. Her and Lyndsey grabbed the suitcases and a camera bag. "Hey, Allison." Lyndsey said rummaging through the trunk. "Yeah?" Allison asked, walking around to her. "Didn't we bring two cameras?" Allison's face was overcome by a look of disappointment as she slowly turned her head towards Taylor. "Hey! I was NOT in charge of the cameras. I told Sonya to get them because I had to get the tripod." Taylor said. Lyndsey continued looking through the trunk, then she saw something purple sticking out from behind a duffle bag. "Wait, I think I-", Lyndsey tugged the object out from behind the bag with a hard jerk. It was a medium sized purple satchel with a black strap. "Aha!" Lyndsey said proudly. Taylor looked at Allison with an I-told-you-so look on her face. Allison rolled her eyes and grabbed the satchel. The girls met Sonya as they were going in. "Room 669 on the 6th floor." Sonya said dangling the keys in front of her. The girls made their way up to their room and unpacked their bags. Taylor and Allison ran to a bed and belly flopped onto it. They laughed as they bounced into the air and fell on the floor. "Are you two five years old?" Sonya asked laughing at their stupidity. "No." Allison said with a serious face. "We're four and a half." The four burst into laughter. "You're such idiots." Lyndsey said turning the TV on. "So when are we going?" Taylor said curling up on the bed. "The police have most of the trails blocked off to protect the wildlife from poachers. So we have to go in by a less known path, its harder to get to, but it leads you right into the heart of the forest." Allison said, plopping down into a recliner. "No one watches that path, but there's one close by that has two wildlife patrolmen watching it. They take a lunch break at 5 so, we can go then, but we have to hurry." "Ok." Taylor said dreamily, drifting off to sleep. Sonya and Lyndsey soon followed her example and the three dreamed quietly as the sun feel behind the tall mountains. Allison stayed awake looking out pass the city at the dark trees that were Elmore woods. She had been waiting for this for years, she'd read about them in a book once, and thought that it would be fun to check it out and see if all the stories were really true. Her and Kennedy were the ones who convinced the others to go. She breathed a small sigh as she thought. Kennedy wanted to do this more than any of them, she was the adventurous one. She would have loved it. Allison stared out at the mist shrouded woods and slowly feel into a deep sleep. Tomorrow, she thought as sleep overcame her.
