Here are a few interesting facts about makeup:

-Most eyeliner is made with guano...certain animals' poop.

-The red pigment in most lipstick and blush is made from crushed, dead insects.

-A woman who regularly licks her lips while wearing lipstick will eat about a tablespoon of lipstick per year

-A woman who wears makeup everyday will absorb about five pounds of chemicals and makeup into her body over the course of her lifetime.

-When you pump your mascara wand into the bottle, it doesn't help you get more makeup. It only really introduces air into the bottle (making the makeup harden and clump together in the bottle), and allows airborne bacteria into the bottle and grow. And this is the stuff we put on our eyes. Ewwww.

-When a dog or other animal licks a woman's face while she's wearing makeup, it's because they can smell the makeup.

-Most people know that most to all ancient Egyptians wore kohl eyeliner. But most people don't know they did this to reduce the glare of the sun. Think of how a cheetah has the black fur around its eyes.
