when the sunlight began to peek through the curtain of the slightly broken glass window, that's when i began to rise from the dead.
The clock on the wall read 7:09 AM, and i pulled the short blanket over my eyes.
It barely covered my feet when it was at my shoulders, and left my shins out in then open when i pulled it higher.
I sat up and rose from the couch, stretching my arms and back by leaning backwards.
I heard a door slam and saw Sam walk through the doorway.
"Good Morning." He spoke, and made his way into the kitchen.
I trailed shortly behind him, and watched him pull out a bowl from the cabinet.
He grabbed a box of captain crunch from the disorganized cabinet above the sink, and dumped some into the bowl.
After making his way to the fridge, he pulled out a half gallon of milk, and proceeded to pour some into his bowl.
Sam shoved the milk back into the fridge and found a spoon, then sat at the kitchen table to eat it.
I sat down at the seat beside him, and pulled my legs up on the chair.
I stared down at the city below me through the window, taxi cabs driving by, people jogging.
I sighed and looked to Sam, who was watching me.
"Do you know how to use a gun?" He questioned, with a mouthful of cereal.
"Not particularly." I shook my head no, looking down.
"I can teach you today. That way you'll be ready. February eighth is the day we'll do it." He spoke, and my hands were trembling.
"As soon as i finish this, we'll go off into the woods. I'll show you there." I nodded and slid off my seat, making my way back to the room where i slept.

After grabbing the gun, Sam and I loaded into his car. He started the ignition and we drove, until we met a crevice in between a few trees.
"Alright, get out. We're walking from here." He spoke sternly, and I held the weapon tightly as I climbed out of the car.
We made our way a little further into the woods, when he suddenly came to a stop.
"Alright, see if you can hit that target over there." I looked across the way, and saw a red and blue target nailed upon a tree.
"Okay..." i said, raising the gun. I pulled the trigger, and as i thought, the bullet went no where near the target.
I cringed, dropping the gun by my side.
"Here... Let me help you." He said, coming up behind me.
He wrapped his arms around me and raised them, positioning it. His hands wrapped around mine, and he leaned his head on my shoulder.
"Alright, three... two.. one," He spoke, and shot the trigger.
The bullet went straight into the center of the target, and i stood in awe.
He spun me around, placing his hands on my hips.
"Sam, stop.." I said quietly, him swaying the two of us slightly.
"Cmon Y/N... Chandler's going to be gone soon... Don't even worry about him... It's just going to be you and I."
