She walked through the door behind Nick and when he moved out of the way and I saw her I felt myself blush. She had beautiful wavy blonde hair that brushed just past her shoulders. I felt my palms get a little sweaty as she walked closer. She had a deep red lipstick on that just popped when she smiled, which she seemed to do quite a lot of. She wore dark jeans and black combat boots with a shirt that seemed to have a skull on it but I was unsure because of the black leather jacket she was wearing, plus the dark, leather covered book she had her arms wrapped around covered most of it. Around her neck was a chain but there was nothing hanging from it which striked me as odd. She was the prettiest girl I'd ever seen by far. But then from the other table I heard an unsettling voice yell, "Lyss!" And I turned to see Donnie run up and hug her. Both my stomach and heart dropped as I watched her hug him back. They stood there for a few seconds and I actually saw tears in Donnie's eyes and it confused me. Then Nick gave us news that not only made everything make since, but slightly lift my spirits back up. He explained that Calysto was Donnie's sister. She had been left behind when they brought Donnie here, she had not shown any signs of powers.
Donnie's powers came early. But he did not share them with anybody until later. (I know this because Tony showed me his file, under the radar). He found that not long after his 6th birthday, he seemed to grow alot more and alot faster. Things started to become fairly easy for him, fastest kid at his school, stronger than even his dad. The many times that he got into fights at school, he walked away without a scratch, not to mention leaving the poor boy that picked a fight with him face down in the grass unconscious. All this happened and by the time he was 11 he was being transported here.
As everyone sat down and Continued eating, I couldn't help but stare at this new girl. I studied the way she stood and the way her lips moved as she answered more of Fury's boring questions. Donnie had been asked to head back to his seat a few minutes before. And now i see Fury walk her into the East hallway which meant he was probably taking her to assign a girl that she would be bunking with.
I didn't see her the rest of the night, but man did I think about her. I wanted to know more. Why did they wait til now to bring her here? Why did did she have that book with her? Is there any way she would go out with me? All these questions were running across my mind (especially the last one) and I fell asleep still puzzled.
