Chapter 19: Planning For The Big Day!

(Lana's POV)

Over the course of the past 3 months, Ashley and I both have taken time to plan for our big day. We've already picked out the venue; it's going to be at a nice beach house that belongs to Tam's Dad right off of Malibu Beach; we already called him, asking if that would be all right to use it. Now, we are planning the smaller necessities; both mine and the bridal party's flowers, reception favors, food entrées and side dishes, drinks, and the cake (which Ashley will be coming with me to taste different types of cakes with different frostings).

Tomorrow, I will be getting the wedding dress (which I have an appointment tomorrow; Tam (my maid of honor) and Mae, Juliet, Ella, and Sammi (my bridesmaids) will be helping me out with that), and everything in between. We will also pick out the bridal party's dresses, and accessories. I look forward to that; spending quality time with my girlfriends and pick out the dress I will be wearing when Ashley becomes my husband.

For the time being, we are cuddling on the couch and drinking some iced tea. Ashley wraps his arm around my shoulder, pulling me closer and kissing my lips. "I love you, Mrs.-soon-to-be-Purdy," he says in a gentle whisper. "I love you more Ashley, I always have and always will." He smiles and I lay my head on his shoulder; we stay like that for quite some time. I eventually fall asleep for a couple hours, taking a small nap.

When I wake up, I see Ashley standing in front of me with a nice suit jacket on, a button up shirt and tie, and his torn, black denim jeans. He pulls me up gently and we begin swaying back and forth. I hear some gentle country music playing in the background, and recognize it as Dolly Parton;

I smile, listening to the words as we continue to sway back and forth through the living room. I hear Ash quietly chuckle saying, "This song reminds me so much of us in the beginning of our relationship." I laugh too and reply, "Yes it sure does, but it is very true though when we say "I Will Always Love You" to each other." We decide to head out for dinner around 4:00, leaving in Ashley's black Lamborghini down to the Palermo Ristorante.

While we are waiting for our seat, we notice two very familiar faces at the restaurant; Tam and CC. They smile and wave us over, and we ask the Hostess to sit with our friends instead. She complies, bringing us over to their table. Once we both sit down, (He sits across from me; like how Tam and CC are. Tam and I are sitting next to each other, but Ash and CC are sitting on the opposite sides) we begin talking to our friends.

Tam asks about our shopping day tomorrow, and I tell her we'll meet at Starbucks for a small coffee, and then head out to do dress shopping. She nods, and we (Ash and I) then order some food, sharing it, (As I don't want to eat too much if I am trying on dresses tomorrow.) After dinner, we say our good byes and head back home. Once we get home, the dogs attack us with kisses and we giggle at their excitement. I tell Ash I'm going to put on my PJ's and he asks if he can help pick out a pair for me to wear. I roll my eyes playfully and he follows me upstairs, grinning like a kid on Christmas morning. I look through my PJ drawer and Ash does too, and he comes across a nice negligée and pair of lace panties and smiles a little, hoping I'll say yes.

I nod my head and change in the bathroom quickly. I come out and Ash is already in PJ bottoms and a tank top. Killer and Tokyo rush into the bedroom like the little mischiefs they are and Ash gently puts them up on the bed. We both get in as well, snuggling up against each other. He turns on the TV and dims the lights down almost to the fullest notch, but it still light enough that we can see the way to the bathroom. After a while, we both begin to drift off in each other's arms; Ash turns off the TV and we both fall fast asleep.
