"i need to ask you something." louis said as he dropped his knife and paused his chopping.

"go ahead." liam said while flipping the bacons.

"um," louis scratched his forehead. "the date." he whispered. he felt annoying; he kept on asking Liam about it over and over again.

liam stopped what he was doing. "um, right. i actually called him yesterday and he said that tomorrow will be good."

louis' eyes lit up. "really? what time!"

"he s-said eight would be great," liam lied. "and, uh, he can't pick you up b-because his car is .... um, wrecked. yes! his car is wrecked. so i'm going to drive you to the restaurant he, um, reserved for the both of you."

louis grinned. "awesome! help me pick out what to wear, yeah?"

liam smiled. "of course."

he's so fucking screwed.

it was now afternoon and liam just came back from his shift.

"lou? i'm home." liam yelled out.

he rolled up his sleeves and put the bag of food he brought down.

"lou?" he checked the living room, bathroom and every other room except for his.

he knocked on the closed door, and opened it when he got no reply. "louis?" he said in surprise and confusion. the room was downright mess. clothes were scattered around everywhere. literally. "what happened?" liam closed the door behind him on e he walked in.

"i can't find anything to wear, li!" louis whined. he was laying on liam's bed with clothes under him. "i rummaged through my clothes, and yours too! and i still can't find anything suitable! i don't know whether to wear too classy, or just normal clothes, li!"

liam sighed. "let's leave this to later, yeah? i brought food."

louis straight away got up, sending the clothes that were on him flying to the ground. "yes, thank god. i'm starving!" he waddled his way past liam, and to the kitchen where he saw bags— which he guessed was food.

he licked his lips, and took out the plastics from the bag. liam had brought two plates of spaghetti, one plate of mixed pizza and a plate of salad.

louis set them nicely on the table for them and brought out two plates and two glasses. he filled the glasses with warm water.

liam walked in the kitchen with his pajamas on and his white loose shirt riding up a little, but not revealing his skin.

"aw, wow." liam said when he saw the table ready. "you didn't have to, i could've done so myself."

"no, li. you do all the work around here; it's about time i help around a bit." louis grinned, sitting down on a chair.

liam's heart warmed. he never knew one could feel so in love with someone. liam smiled and sat down on the chair in front of louis.

they both ate silently; neither one of them talking. but both of their minds were screaming.
