Meanwhile, in Heijin...
Nobunaga had just got out of his relaxing bath and he helped himself into another robe for the evening. He went down the hall, into the dining area of the castle to enjoy his supper with his loved ones. All the family members were waiting on his arrival. He sat down and after the Eastern formalities were fulfilled they started dining.
"Father, Dragonskull is in pursuit of the remaining gems. He has been quiet for so long. Do you think he will strike us anytime soon with his army?" asked the eldest son of the Nobunaga family, Musashi.
"I've been having unusual dreams of a dragon chasing down a lion for some time now" said Lord Nobunaga while feasting. "I know something is about to happen, I don't know when, but I know whatever it is, that day is not far".
The whole table got silent and it got a little tense. Looks of concern were passing around the table to one another.
"They should know better if they are going to attack us. They are at disadvantage. We live in the middle of the island and they cannot use their battleships to attack us. So they don't stand a chance against us" said Lord Nobunaga with confidence.
Meanwhile, in Asmorath...
A hand gripped Sabretooth on the shoulder. The touch was familiar to him. He turned around only to witness Vivian with a smile on her face.
"Let him go. No one has poisoned me or tried to hurt me" said Vivian.
Sabretooth looked confused as it was evident from his expressions.
"But milady, you were sick few moments ago. You were throwing up in the garden. I don't understand" said the king.
"Let me explain my king" said the queen.
"I've been meaning to tell you something and this will make you really happy" said the queen. "You are going to be a father my lord!"
Indeed she was right. The king was happy. He carried her up to the platform and shouted,
"I am going to be a father!"
The queen too was happy. Infact they were both holding their hands together and crying of happiness and pride.
A new heir to the throne was on his way.
For Eric on the other hand it was not so much good news as he is the heir to the throne. But he never had eyes for the throne. He was a different person. All he wanted was happiness out of life so it was not a big deal for him to lose his place.
Mary always admired his qualities and she knew right away that Eric was never the person to sulk over something like this and so did Storm, as he has had close relations with the young warrior for so many years. He was happy for his uncle and the queen.
The next day dawned swiftly and as always Eric and Mary went on to the field for their combat training. As usual they were late and Storm was waiting on them.
Eric has started his training with the Blade of Asmorath and he was getting better with it. Mary had to go to the castle under the queen's orders to meet her and that is when Eric brought up a question to Storm that he wanted to ask him for weeks.
"Storm, what exactly is the 'Weapon of the Immortals'?" asked Eric. "I overheard it in the council a while back and you are the only person I trust. Can you tell me what it is?"
Storm stopped what he was doing for a second. He looked at Eric and began to tell the history and the myths related to the weapon.
"Well Eric, the 'Weapon of the Immortals' is said to be forged by the Gods themselves. No one actually knows what it looks like because no one has ever wielded it before. The Five gems were created by people, a specific group of enchanters and master craftsmen who had seen visions sent by the Gods on how to craft them, in order to divide the power equally among the tribes. The gems are the keys to unveiling the Weapon of the Immortals." said Storm.
"But one man wanted the weapon centuries ago in order to fight the gods themselves, which started the First Great Tribal Warfare. And that man was Tutan Sabbath I, the greatest Egyptian enchanter ever existed."
He continued...
"He always thought that the Egyptians were the most superior tribe due to its rich history as the most ancient tribe in the world. But he never got his hands on the price because the others believed that gods are more superior and if we are to wield the weapon they would seek to take revenge on the human kind. Well that's about it."
"Wow, it is almost unbelievable to hear such tales. But I've always wanted to know what the gems supposed to perform. I mean, what it actually does?" asked the excited young Viking.
"Well, when the gems are inserted into the special slots of the respective weapons, it is said that the user is engulfed in magical flames around his body and it is said that the user can even create the sacred beasts, lion, ox, dragon, eagle and serpent, with incredible powers, hundred times larger than its actual size out of thin air" said Storm.
"But that is enough for today. All this story telling has made me hungry. Let us go inside now. Class dismissed."
