The Naive Little Boy

There once was a boy who believed in everything he heard.

Naive, sure...

but he was just scratching at the surface of the knowledge of this world.

Hate and lies, he didn't understand it.

Heartbreak and lonely were not in his dictionary

of words, meaningless and hollow

they fill our heads up like

a hurricane brings floods to the islands

Now the boy is gone, and only the ghost of him is left.

Lingering behind.

He has learned and failed, hurting from those meaningless and hollow words, we say to him every day.

Look at what society has done to him.

The child is gone.

Dreams turn into fog, covering our paths.

They say love's all we need, but should he sacrifice his freedom. No more naive little boy, as they used to call him. It was time to face the real world.

But he will never be ready for this.

A/N: Thank you guys so much for all the support on my poems! I really appreciate everybody who takes the time to read my stories and comments on them. Also for 75 followers, did I mention how fricking incredible that is??!! Thx for being so kind and supportive. Before I sound overly cheesy (why cheese, I mean I like cheese what's wrong with cheese. wtf) Going back to the topic, I'll be posting whenever I feel creative:)

Stay pretty.
