Chapter 8: Day Eight
Louis’ POV
“I miss Hazza,” I groaned. Liam was going through the bill papers and wasn’t paying any attention to me. Zayn was sleeping and Niall was at Becca’s. Then I had an idea. I ran upstairs and grabbed my laptop. I opened Skype and clicked on Bella’s username. While it rang, I fixed my hair a little. Bella’s face appeared on the screen and I beamed. “Bella!” I said excitedly. She smiled and said, “Hey, Lou. What’s up?” “Oh, nothing much. I’m just bored.” “Where’s Harry?” “That’s the point. Harry’s not here and neither is Tara. They’re off being love birds and what not. So I wanted to talk to you.” She twirled her golden blonde hair and smiled. I loved it when she twirled her hair. “So, what’s up with them?” I replied, “Yesterday was Tara’s birthday and then we remembered that we missed Harry’s birthday. So they celebrated their birthdays together and they wanted some alone time with each other and I figure that they’re doing naughty stuff.” She giggled. “Harry called this morning saying that they’d be home after lunch and it’s after lunch and he’s STILL not home. Alright, I’m done. Your turn.” Bella laughed. “Nothing much. I’ve been busy with work and what not. I had plans on coming to see you this weekend cause my boss is letting me take a two week break. Besides, I wanna see Tara. She told me something worth coming to see her.” I asked, “Is it the engagement?” Bella raised an eyebrow, which hinted she didn’t know. “What engagement?” I told her that Harry had bought Tara a ring for her birthday and that he plans on marrying her. “Aw… That’s so sweet!” she gushed. “The only problem was that they’ve been dating for only a month. I would’ve waited until my girlfriend and I were dating for a couple years. But that’s just me. Harry can do what he wants.”
I heard the front door open and Harry yell, “Guys! We’re home!” I got excited. I told Bella, “I’ll call you later! Love you, Bella!” Bella blushed but said, “Love you too, Lou.” I turned off my laptop and ran downstairs.
I hugged Harry tightly. “HAZZA! YOU’RE HOME!!!!” I yelled. Harry laughed and patted my head. “Calm down, Lou. I was only gone for a couple of hours. Tara, come in. You live here too, y’know.” Tara walked into the house, but she looked different. Her hair when we first met was jet black, but now it was light brown. “Wow….” I said. She tugged on her hair. “I miss my black hair, but Harry convinced me to dye it brown.” I looked at Harry. “She wanted her black hair! I like her with her black hair! Why’d you make her dye it???” He held his hands up. “I only told her that she’d look great with brown hair. She didn’t have to dye it.” Tara dug through her bag and brought out a black hair dye kit. “I’m getting my hair back,” she told us. She dropped her bag to the floor and ran upstairs.
Harry’s POV
I looked at Liam, who hadn’t noticed we were here. “Um, Liam? Aren’t you going to say ‘Hi, Harry’?” He looked up and smiled. “Hey, Hazza.” I smiled. “Now I feel loved.”
I followed Tara upstairs and walked into the bathroom. She wasn’t wearing her shirt and she was putting the dye in her hair. “Aw, you’re changing it?” “I want it black, Harry. I hate brown. I only dyed it for you.” I looked at her through the mirror. “I’m sorry, baby. I didn’t know you hated brown.” She finished putting the dye in her hair and looked at me. “It’s not your fault. I didn’t tell you because it was a little thing I didn’t need to tell you.” She got out her phone and set the timer for ten minutes. “I’m getting my iPod and speakers. If you need me, I’ll be where you left me.” I looked at her as she walked away. I felt a little down, since I made her feel like she didn’t have any options on what her hair looked like. I trudged to my room and sighed.
I closed the door and fell onto my bed. “I feel bad….” I said to myself, messing with my curls. It didn’t feel the same. Tara did it better. I heard my door open and I saw Tara standing in the door way. “Baby, I’m sorry….” I started to say, but she cut me off by kissing me. “I love you, Harry. You weren’t doing anything wrong by stating what you thought I looked great in. I should’ve told you that.” I smirked. “Does that mean you love me????” I asked cheekily. Tara rolled her eyes. “No, Hazza. I’m most definitely not engaged to the hottest guy in One Direction.”
I laughed and kissed her passionately. Tara twirled my curls around her fingers and kissed me back. “I love our makeout sessions, babe.” She shook her head and chuckled. “You’re silly, Harry.” “Isn’t that why you’re marrying me?” She laughed. “I thought I was marrying you because you wanted us to be together.” I smiled. “That, too.”
I started to sing to her Change My Mind.
So baby if you want me to stay, stay the night, I’ll change my mind.
