Chapter eleven: Our own warlock

Arthur’s POV

The Great Dragon landed in an area unknown to him but he hardly cared. The great dragon allowed them all off and asked them to put Merlin in front of him.

Once that was done the Great dragon did something to Merlin and Arthur watched in hope Merlin was going to be ok.

‘I have healed his cuts and he is no longer bleeding. He will need a lot of rest before he makes a full recovery but Merlin will be alright’ said the great dragon.

‘Thank you so much’ smiled Arthur will happiness.

‘Arthur I can tell Merlin means a lot to you and I am glad. You have a bond which I hope is never destroyed. Merlin protects you and I hope you will do the same to him. I hope now that you know his secret you will not tell your father’ said the great dragon.

‘I will never do that to Merlin’ said Arthur.

The Great dragon smiled at Arthur before looking at Merlin.

‘The only concern I have is Merlin’s magic I can try give them back to him but there is a high chance it might not work. Also I do not wish to do that when he is very weak as there is an even lesser chance he will stay alive’ said the great dragon.

‘So what are we going to do’ said Arthur clearly worried.

‘I will allow one days rest for Merlin. Tomorrow I will see how he is going. I take you have noticed I have taken you somewhere which is unknown to you but I hope you stay for at least one day. Merlin needs friends by his side not only me. You three should get some rest too tomorrow I will decide whether I will try to get Merlin’s magic back but I know magic is what makes Merlin him. I know he feels like a part of him is gone because his magic is gone. I’m not sure if he will risk his life to have it back though. If he dies you are likely to never make king’ said the great dragon.

‘Why is that’ said Gwen worried.

‘I said it before Merlin’s density is to protect Arthur with out Merlin Arthur will never make it to king because someone will stop him becoming it. If Merlin never came to Camelot called you a royal prat and became your servant you would not be standing here right now Arthur. Even you know that from when that woman tried to kill you because your father killed her son’ said the great dragon.

‘So without Merlin Arthur will die’ said Gwen sadly.

‘Indeed Gwen so if it was up to Merlin he would not risk it but the choice I dare say is yours’ said the great dragon before he flied off but adding on, ‘I’ll be back soon’

Arthur waited until the great dragon was gone before he spoke, ‘What do we do guys’.

‘Maybe as much as Merlin’s magic is important I do not wish for Merlin to die’ said Gwaine.

Gwen looked at Gwaine with a angry expression so Gwaine spoke again, ‘Also we want you Arthur to make it to king’.

‘I hardly care about my life right now I care more about Merlin’s if giving his magic back may kill him I go against it’ said Arthur.

‘So do we all agree with not giving Merlin’s magic back then?’ asked Gwen.

‘’Oh Merlin’ said Gwaine as he looked at the lifeless body in front of him apart from Merlin’s chest moving now and again.

‘Let’s make him a little more comfortable’ said Gwen.

‘Sure’ said Arthur.

Merlin’s POV

Merlin heard whispers nearby but he still had his eyes shut as well as his hearing was a little bleary therefore he didn’t know who was talking.
