One day she's a child,
New to the world and excited,
With bright wide eyes and a smile
More pure than a winter fairytale.
Then she's a preteen,
Trying to grow up as fast as she can,
With makeup-covered eyes and a smile
Still strong despite her impurities.
Now she's a teenager,
Already exhaused of the world,
With sad, lifeless eye and a smile
That she fakes every day.
And she wishes with all her heart
That she had never grown up.
