Setting: modern day with a twist, angels exist. Their wings are visible, they do not require a vessel, they are born similarly to humans, and do require everything humans do; sleep, food, showers, intimacy ect. They are called angels because it's easier to say and greater excepted than some scientific term. Haven (ha·ven /ˈhāvən/-noun-a place of safety or refuge) is similar to an Amish town, or a Native-American reservation, in the middle of nowhere with human residence at least 20 miles away. The angels that leave Haven are usually not supported by their family and have to fend for themselves in the human world. Homosexuals are just as normal as heterosexuals to angels, they believe in the soul not being gender specific, and a 'soul bond' has more meaning to them than marriage.
Character description: All angels are thinly built unless they are medically modified, or cannot/do not, use their wings which is common. The bigger the wings, the taller and more "human" they are built. An angels wingspan is two to four times their height. Castiel, for example, has a large body for an angel because of his larger than average wings. Gabriel has average, medium length, wings so his body is the average angel build.
