Today someone told me to forgive you.
Today someone told me it would help.
But when I remember what you did to me.
I can't help but wish you burn in Hell.
Today someone told me I was lying.
That what you did wasn't real.
But when I look down at the marks you gave me
I can't help but know the truth.
Today someone told me it wasn't your fault.
That the drugs and booze consumed you.
But then I remember all the choices you had,
and realized I have the right to blame you.
Today someone told me to stop looking for help,
because help couldn't see the problem.
To quiet my voice and hope for the best.
Because now I've just hit rock bottom.
Today someone told me, but I stopped them right there.
Because I'm tired of your lies, your judgemnt, and hate.
I may have lost hope, I may have lost faith.
But I'm proud to say, I can still run this race!
