Fallon's POV
"Hey, Fallon." Theta shook me violently.
"yeah buddy?" i yawned stretching in my bed. Theta was the youngest sibling, well not really my sibling, my half brother and the only one who really liked having me around. Except my stepdad, Leonard.
"Mom's looking for you, dinner's done." he smiled. Theta was 12, i'm 17... and so is my step sister, Carolina.
"Theta! Fallon! Dinner's going to get cold, come on." My mother, Cortana, shouted from downstairs.
"Coming mom!" i shouted. My mother married Leonard when i was 5, after divorcing my father John. Then Theta came along and i was so excited to have a sibling that might actually care about me. Theta is a shy kid, he's so sweet and gets so flustered when he's asked if he likes and of the girls at Armada Middle School. He's got all the girls drooling over him by just breathing.
my tiny legs swung from under the silk comforter on my purple double sized bed. i admired photos that i had of my dad and i on the way out. I walked into our giant living room to see Leonard on the couch going over paperwork, i tried to sneak by without going unnoticed, but he looked up and greeted me.
"afternoon, Fallon, you alright?"he asked placing his glasses on his head.
"yeah, i was just naping after working out." i sighed shuffling my feet on the plush creme carpet. the house was massive and i must admit it was a beautiful home. But it seemed too much for my standards.
"oh, thinking of doing sports?" he pushed on ignoring the fact that mom was yelling at us for dinner.
"yeah, i'm good at Track and Field. I had an 18.34 time my freshman year." i laughed walking into the dining room with him. Leonard wasnt a bad guy, he was a good father and took care of us all, he just wasn't my dad.
"an 18.34 time? impressive."he chuckled sitting down.
"yeah, if i could be a few seconds faster i could be around the same ranks of an Olympic track runner." i smirked, seeing Carolina's disgusted look only because i was engaging conversation with her father.
"So, how was everyones day?" Mom asked smiling and taking a bite of the lasgna she had cooked. I really loved the food she made, she made a lot of dinner homemade. Almost everything from scratch.
"We got a new kid at our school. His name is Felix Mc-Something, but him and David Washington got into a fight. Dave totally won." Carolina practically shouted.
i have seen David before at our house. its while i had hurdles set up in the back practicing time trials when i saw him, he had gorgeous blonde hair and ice blue eyes. he was tall, and ripped. but he was staring at ME.
i was just a plain girl. 5'2, tanned skin from extensive outside workouts, auburn hair with black in some places. i wasnt muscly, but i had abs and you could see the biceps on my arms. But he was staring at me and i fell, and giving me extremely skinned knee's
~~~~~~~~~~FLASHBACK~~~~~~~~~~~~
I heard car doors slam shut, most likely Carolina, i had to focus. i had state championship coming up soon. I got invited to state champs for winning county conference in 100m HS girls Hurdles.
I took off pacing myself
"1, 2, 3, 4 , 5 JUMP"
I jumped landing perfectly swinging my leg over, that's when I noticed
David staring at me, looking at my motion, my moves and how sleek they came one after another.
But I spoke to soon.
I fell over the hurdle, catching my foot and slamming my head down hard."Wash, she'll be fine. We don't have time to help her," Lina sneered and starred in disgust at my body on the grass.
"Don't be selfish Carolina, it was my fault I was distracting her. The least I could do is help her." David sighed.
"No need to speak as if I was dead, it's just a headache and bloody knees. I'll be alright thanks." I said winging, and hoisting myself from the ground. My knees ached.
"Let's go, Wash." Carolina growled walking towards her car.
"Sorry..." Wash scratches his neck, blushing a little bit.
"It happens, I'm no wimp. I've had worse." I laughed gesturing that it was fine. He was so handsome.
