Chapter 3: Help..

Aphmau's POV

I awoke in the bed that was in the medicine house. I turned my head with a surge of strength to see Kawaii~Chan was humming at mixing herbs in a boll. "Kawaii~Chan?" I wearily said. She swung her head around and jumped in excitement and ran out the room. Quickly Garroth and Laurence ran in the room. "Aphmau!" They yelled in unison. I smiled at there childish behaviors. "How are you?!" Garroth said. "Heh well not so bad" I said as I grunted in effort and sat up. "Whoa don't push it!" Laurence said as he grabbed my shoulders to help me steady myself. "I'm- Fine" I stuttered. "If you can... What happened?" Garroth asked carefully as if it would trigger me in rage. My eyes filled with tears. "Oh guys it was horrible!" I said as a tear rolled down my cheek. When I finished explained my eyes were red and there were drops of tears on my black legging . "Oh Aphmau..." Laurence whispered. Garroth was sitting on the foot of the bed staring off into space. After a couple seconds later Garroth whispered "Oh my baby brother...". "Garroth.. I'm sorry. I should have help him". "No it's not your fault" He said shaking off his gaze. I wiped eyes and sniffed. "I'm sorry I ran off. I didn't want to wake you guys" I mumbled. "I understand Aphmau why you did it." Laurence said. Garroth stood up and cleared his voice, "I shall lead a search with some people from the village!" He announced. "No!" I quickly said. "I must do this alone! He asked for my help! Don't mettle in my business just because your my guards!". "But-" Garroth started but I cut him off. "No Garroth. I'm sorry but this is my problem. I know you still care but I must do it!" I said with surprising amounts of strength. I stood and my legs gave out and Laurence once again caught me. He giggled and made a smart remark "'Goin make this a habit?". "Haha very funny" I said brushing off my shirt. "Hey um Aphmau... Can you wait a couple days? I have a present for you" Laurence said. I turned my head to see Garroth and realized he was gone. "uh- ah- sure" I said distantly. "Aphmau?" Laurence said and he tipped my head back to him. "Um yeah.. where is Garroth" I asked. I push him away and stumbled to the door. "See you later Laurence"
