6 Months Later...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------"I'm going to get you Rosy" screamed Violet.
"Agh!!!" Shrieked Rosella. "Those cushions really hurt Vi".
"Sorry, you never should have started the pillow fight then" Violet replied, laughing as she pummelled Rosella with a cushion.
"I know for next time... But I am still going to make the best of it" Rosella laughed back.
"Agh!!!!!! Rosy, stop, that hurts!!!" Violet screamed, rolling along the bed to get away from the attacking pillow.
"Girls, dinners ready".
" Ok Mum, we are just going to hatch our secret pillow fighting plan on you"
"Violet!!! Now Mum knows!"
"Whoops!" Violet said, covering her mouth.
"Come on Vi, let's do it anyway"
"Ok, get ready to be attacked Mum".
"CHARGE!!!!!!!" yelled Rosella. Violet and Rosella started running forward to attack their Mum when their Mum grabbed a pillow and the fight (which hadn't started, but if it had Rosella and Violet would be winning) turned around.
"Agh!!!!!!!" Rosella yelled.
"It's not fair, we had the most best idea..." Violet half cried, half laughed. Soon the fight ended and they all lay on the double bed they had been fighting on laughing.
"Alright then, dinners ready... And probably cold by now".
"Alright Mum!" Violet laughed. The three of them walked out to the dining room and sat down for tea.Rosella was 12 years old. Her younger sister Violet was 10. Yet you wouldn't find a pair more different in looks. Violet had long blonde hair tied in two braids and she had stunningly green eyes. Violet definitely took after their parents. On the other hand, however, Rosella had medium length brown hair hanging loose down her back. Her eyes were mellow hazel, which were very calm to look at. No one in their family had hazel eyes... They always had blue or green. They were also different in memories in the way that Violet had the most AMAZING memory around. She could look at something and remember where everything was and what was there, never hesitating. Violet remembered things that had happened when she was two. Rosella however, had an OK memory but couldn't remember a thing before about six months ago. She couldn't even remember her birthdays! Rosella had taken this for granted... It wasn't like everyone remembered everything... It just so happened she didn't remember ANYTHING!!! Anyway the doctors told her not to worry, so, she hadn't worried.
Back at the dinner table, Violet talked excitedly about her school to Rosella as she munched through her lasagne. Their Mum was heating up Violet's lasagne as it had gone cold. Suddenly, amongst the chatter the door opened and their father walked in. He had messy brown hair on the top of his head.
"DADDYYYYYYYYY!" Violet screamed running to hug him.
"Hi there darling" he said kissing her on the cheeks.
" Hi Dad" Rosella said normally (unlike Violet who had screamed in Rosella's ear).
"Hey Rosy, how was your day?"
" Not bad... Considering that I got attacked by Violet with a pillow!" Just at this moment their Mum walked in with Violet's and their Dad's plate of lasagne.
"Hello John, good day at work?"
"Busy, Alice" he said as he pecked their Mum (Alice) on the cheek.
"Well dinners ready John".
" Thanks Honey," he replied
"Ooooooooh" whispered Violet.
"Really Vi" laughed Rosella.
"Yeah..." Violet blushed red. Awkward Silence. Then...
"Uhhhh, Dad I hope you didn't forget that tonight is family movie night" Violet said in order to break the silence.
"Of course not, honey" he reassured her.
"What movie are we watching?" Alice (their Mum) asks.
"It my turn to choose tonight," Violet says "and I think we shall watch..." She thinks about it for a moment tilting her head one side. "Umm... I think we shall watch... The Spy Next Door!!!" She says in a brainwave.
"Ok then, Rosella, can you help Violet set up the movie?"
"Sure Mum, come on Vi," Rosella says while walking out he room, Violet just behind her.
"Thanks Rosy," Violet said after Rosella explained how to set up the movie.
"Anytime, V".
1 Hour Later...
-Theme music plays-
"You shall never catch me!" The T.V blared out.
"Yay I love this part," Violet says loudly.
"Shhhh Vi, the movies on," Rosella said back. Suddenly thunder rumbles loudly.
"Looks like we're in for a storm kids", their Dad says.
The family intently watched the movie (well Violet was anyway, everyone else was just relaxing and eating popcorn). The thunder was slowly getting louder and louder until the rain hammered down on top of their house. The T.V could barely be heard above the noise (it was on full volume).
"Come on guys, bedtime, we will finish the movie tomorrow"
"Awwwww mum", Violet complained as the wind whistled loudly.
"Come on this storm is a big one-" Their Mum didn't get to finish the sentence. Thunder blocked all noise from the world.
"I'm with your mother on this one girls" their dad said worriedly. Violet pointed the remote at the T.V and turned it off.
"Night Mum" Rosella heard Violet say as she wandered over to the bathroom to brush her teeth. Rosella knew that the storm was going to be fierce and wondered how Violet would react. Violet loved storms mainly because because she and Rosella would sit by the window watching the lightning flash and the thunder roar, and for this reason Rosella loved them too. Rosella was just heading to bed when she heard a crack. Lightning had flashed right above the living room hitting the T.V. Quickly she yelled out and ran to grab Violet.
"MUM, DAD" she yelled. Grabbing Violet by the arm she pulled her out into the kitchen where their Dad was filling a thermos with water. Their Mum grabbed them hurriedly pulled them to her.
"Oh we were worried you had been hit" she said worriedly over the sound of the Lightning.
"Don't worry Mum where OK, bu-" Rosella had been caught mid sentence as lightning flashed again in the backyard.
"EVACUATE!!!!!!!" Was all Rosella heard as Her father yelled it out. Their father grabbed out to reach Violets hand as their Mum went to reach his, fog was beginning to form as thunder rumbled. Both Violet and Their Mum were reaching for Rosella's hand just as the fog blocked their view. Rosella stumbled over a log in the yard they had escaped to. Thinking quickly, she tried to hurry to where her family was last. Owing to the fog she couldn't see anything anymore. Suddenly, she blindly turned around and saw a light in the distance. She ran to it calling out for help as she went.
"HELP, HELP"she called as she followed the light. Finally she saw the light at touching distance and lunged forward to find that her hand hit something hard and cold. The fog was beginning to rise and Rosella could see that she was touching a long metal pole, a lantern pole, in the middle of nowhere. Suddenly thunder rumbled above her. She had forgotten about the storm in her hurry to get to the lantern pole. She suddenly realised what had happened. Rosella was somewhere, all alone.
