Rosella turned around as the lightning flashed nearby. She wasn't really sure what was happening now..... Maybe she could find her way back home she thought. The fog was lifting but the night was still dark, it couldn't be more then 12:00pm. Thunder rumbled as she looked around. She didn't really notice the street. Rosella saw a dark and winding ally way... It was a wonder she hadn't ran into the walls. CRASH!! Lightning flashed near her. Rosella jumped in surprise. Slowly she took a step back, which was lucky because it hit just where she had been standing. Rosella could only think of one thing. As her heart pounded against her chest, she stumbled and ran towards the dark alley way. There was a thin layer of fog surrounding her feet. She wasn't sure what she was doing but she was running. Well, stumbling more like. As she tripped over an empty can she put her hand out to save herself and it touched a cold brick wall in front of her. IN FRONT OF HER?? Rosella was confused now, her heart was thumping loud enough for all to hear. She turned around feeling as if this was a nightmare, being trapped. The rain began to pour louder and heavier then before, flooding everything in its path. Thunder rumbled and lightning flashed nearly hitting the metal pole a few metres in front of her. The brick wall in front of her was not moving so Rosella decided to move quickly back to the light post. The metal lamp was hit just as she reached it. All of a sudden Rosella realised something. The metal lamp. The METAL lamp. Lightning is attracted to metal. 'Of course' Rosella thinks. Then she realises something else. If that lamp is metal and she was standing next to it, meant that the lamp would be hit and she would be ELECTROCUTED!!! Quickly Rosella ran the opposite way to the ally way, no idea what so ever of where she was. She could make out that it was darker but that was only to be expected because the light post was away now. Rosella ran deeper into the heart of wherever she was running. Suddenly she ran into something. Something woody. Something like a..... Tree. Rosella breathed slowly as she told herself it was just a tree.... Not a scary monster lurking in the deep. The storm was fainter now and she realised there was another noise, as well as the storm. Separate from the storm. A whispering. Faint at first but when Rosella tried to hear it, it was loud. Fear crept over Rosella. She was in an unknown place where no one knew she was. The whispering didn't stop, it just went on and on and on.... And that was enough to scare Rosella.
" What is it" Rosella whispered to herself, barely audible over the passing storm and the whispering.
"What is it?"
