A woman Lana didn't know entered the guest room she and Roman were in. Roman immediately took a giant step away from Lana as if he didn't want to be caught standing so close to her. Maybe the woman was his girlfriend?
Whatever the case, Lana wanted to know why he didn't want to be seen standing so close to her.
Why was he always so close to her? Why did he feel the need to touch her so often? And why didn't he do it when others were around?
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay." The woman spoke to her. Lana examined her briefly and she could tell the concerned look on the woman's stunning face was sincere. She didn't know why, but she already liked her so much.
"She's fine." Roman answered for her, sounding so cold.
The two glared at Roman who was a total jittery mess. He looked as if he got caught with his hands in the cookie jar. Why the hell was he so damn nervous?
"Good thing I didn't ask you." The woman said playfully, despite the glare she wore on her lovely face. Lana was definitely staring. Goddamn, she was beautiful. Honey blonde hair, gorgeous blue eyes, perfect cheekbones, plump lips, and a body that was to die for. She placed a warm hand on Lana's shoulder. "My name is Natasha."
"Lana." She replied, smiling like an idiot. She had a hot man and a hot woman in the same room, and the only one she wanted to impress was the hot woman. "Thank you for checking up on me. I truly appreciate it."
"And why can't you appreciate that I saved you?" Roman asked Lana, stepping closer to the two women.
"You almost killed him." Lana reminded him, her voice just as cold as his now. "Am I supposed to appreciate that?"
Roman and Natasha exchanged cryptic glances. Lana immediately understood why. Natasha didn't know that Lana was aware of what Roman did for a living and Roman looked as if he didn't want Natasha to know she knew.
"Kristoff said you could go home if you wanted to." Natasha spoke to Lana, breaking the silence. "Don't worry, baby girl. He took care of him."
Lana's head hung low. "I don't want anyone taken care of because of me."
"He deserves it after what he did to you." Roman snapped.
"I agree." Natasha told her. "Of course, I wouldn't have said it in that tone of voice, but then again I'm not the one that has romantic feelings for you."
"Natasha." Roman scolded her. Lana turned to look at him and noticed how mortified he looked. She took a good minute to enjoy how sexy Roman looked when he was embarrassed.
Truth be told, Roman scared Lana a bit. She was amazed that Natasha wasn't afraid of Roman. On the contrary, he seemed to be afraid of her.
Natasha turned her attention to Lana. "Do you want a ride home?"
Lana quickly shook her head. She'd just go home with Irina, that's if Irina was going home and not to her boyfriend's place. "I'll take a cab."
"Don't be silly." Natasha offered a warm smile. "Roman will drive you home."
"Oh." Lana said out loud. The disappointment in her voice was pretty obvious. She thought Natasha was offering to drive her home herself.
Natasha leaned in to plant a kiss on Lana's cheek, taking Lana completely by surprise and causing her to blush. She caught a whiff of a familiar scent that she couldn't quite place. Perhaps it was Chanel, or maybe even Dior. "I hope to see you again, baby girl. Take care."
Lana knew exactly what Natasha meant by that because she wasn't even trying to hide it. What she meant is that she hoped to see her with Roman again.
