I walked along the dark and empty street, swaying slightly from the glass of wine I had drank after cleaning up the mess. Just the thought of her limp and bloody body brought a smile to my face. God, in those last few minutes of her life, I had felt....exhilarated. Alive.

She had begged for her life, sobbing and shaking uncontrollably. She cried out for help, as if someone would save her. As if she deserved to be saved. She was a filthy whore and a thief. Whores and thieves didn't deserve to be saved. They deserved to rott in hell. Just like me

I had been worthy of saving once upon a time. And yet, the many times I had cried out for help, no one had come to my rescue. No one had saved me from him.
