That was the sound of my pen beating against the desk as the teacher droned on and on about how teens these days had no respect for their elders and how she demands said respect from our class.

This lady is a mess!

I hate when people use the word 'respect' so carelessly as if they needed to receive it but refuse to give it. I sighed shaking my head as I looked out the window praying that time would speed up so I could get out of this torture chamber that was my science class.

"Ms. Micheals..... Ms. Micheals........Ms. Micheals!", my science teacher's high pitch voice clawed its ugly head into my beautifully peaceful inner thoughts. 

I sighed and pulled my unwilling eyes away from the sky outside to rest on the terrifying, hairy, brown mole that grew on the face of the wrinkly mess that was my science teacher. 

"Yes Mrs. Coleman.", I answered with an uninterested tone.

"Would you like to explain to the class what is so important outside that you aren't paying attention to the lesson?", she asked with a smug look on her face as if she accomplished the amazing feat of humiliating a student.
