02| the test

My heart started to break. Why did everyone blame me? I didn't do anything wrong, did I? Then the dragon voice echoed through my head "face your fears and show them no mercy." What did that mean "show them no mercy"? Did he mean to kill? Well that's not easy. Who will kill animals from the forest? We are one big family. Then suddenly the animals began to change. They not only became longer, but also stood up and waked on two legs. They turned into humans, but not any humans... They transformed into hunters. Anger grew in my heart, as the memory of my mother dying flashed in front of my eyes. There, I didn't control myself, it's like my whole body was changing. A late flash appeared then I felt a warm feeling, my eyes was dark blue, my teeth grew. As the flash of light faded I started to growl to the hunters as they pointed their guns at me, but I didn't care. I went with no mercy ripping their heads and cutting them into pieces, one by one I attacked. There was one last human standing in front of me, scared and shivering. I went full force and pulled out his head. Blood was everywhere, organs and flesh were on the grass. Suddenly I turned back to normal, it was the moment I realized what I was doing.. It was fear what i felt then..from the killing and blood covering my mouth! How could I have killed them? Why did I? Tears were coming out of my eyes as I saw their eyes full of blood as though they were crying. Afterwards my mother appeared and she had a disappointing look on her face. I was ashamed my head started to spin. Then the whole forest vanished and I returned to the cave. I could still taste the blood inside my mouth. My legs started to shake, I became weak, the world around me started to fade.

"Sofia, Sofia wake up" I heard a soft voice call out for me. As I opened my eyes I was still on the caves cold and wet floor.

Emily and Lilly had a worried face as they said: " Are you alright?!"

I replied with a smile: " Yes"

Emily's and Lilly's faces looked relieved. As I looked at their necklaces it changed color into bright sunny yellow. When I looked at mine I spotted red blood, but under it was the glow of my bright yellow necklace. That is when I remembered what happened at the forest.

The dragon came closer and said: "well done you have all past the test"

"What test?" I said in confusion

"The one you just took a while ago, that was all a test to see if you are ready to become animal descendent of course" replied the dragon

"So we are like protecting animals from evil or something" said Emily with an exited voice.

"Exactly like what you said, if you had noticed when you were in the test you transformed into another animal. That is the animal that you can transform in, but it is not the only one! You can also transform into others as your powers grow. For now let's focus on what you have to do. Emily you can transform into a tiger, Lilly you can transform into a snake, and Sofia you can transform into a wolf. All of you can also transform into humans, but the problem is that your eyes are going to change every so often and you will still have your ears and tails." Explained the dragon as though he was a teacher.

"Wait wait wait who said we will transform into humans" I said
