I pull into Sanders high school parking lot and park in my usual spot. One up side to being the next Luna is you have money, and your pack offers gifts in hopes you will lead them well. One in which I got was this car. A collectors, a 1992 toyota paseo. they we're only made for five years and are hard to come by. One of my fellow classmates/wolves, knew I have a thing for old cars and gifted me with this one. Its lovely.
My bestfriend Max opens my door and pulls me out in a huge embrace. "There's my beautiful Luna" he says proudly.
"Shh Max, there are humans here too you know, we can't go around announcing things like that. It could endanger us all" I say as I hug him back and shut my car door. I tuck my hair behind my ear and start walking with Max to first period.
On the way to class I was joined by my second, the one who will become Luna of something we're to ever happen to me, Lily. She loops her arm through mine and smiles. "Hey Jazzy."
"Hey lily, where's your brother?" Lily's brother Conner was my boyfriend, my mother didn't approve and said I would have to leave him before my engagement to the neighboring Alpha. But Conner was a sweetheart. And I really liked him, though he was not my mate.
"He's at practice. Coach Joe wants the football players to practice super hard for the up coming game, which reminds me coach Tanya want us at volleyball practice at 3 after school, and then at cheer leading at 4:30 and then dance at 6. So we're booked today".
One thing I love about this school, Coach Tanya. She was coaches volley ball, cheer leading, dance, step team, girls basketball team, and the girls soccer team. all activities we're scheduled seperatly so any girl could do them all. I have always loved sports and been athletic, part of being wolf I guess, so all the activities made for a fun school year and plenty of friends.
I sighed, poor Conner, knowing that this time next month I'd have to tell him ots over because my mother arranged my marriage for the better of our pack, it will break him.
When I walked into home room, I took my seat as usual at the back of the classroom. Moments later the teacher waled in and a familiar scent hint my nose. My inner wolf pipped up. I know that scent!! She screamed. It was definitely a familiar scent but one I had never smelled before. Do how did I know it? How was it that this scent seemed so at home. And where was it coming from?
The door to the classroom opened once more and the scent flowing in was overwhelming. A guy walked in his scent so strong and lovely. He was tall, shaggy brown hair, green eyes. His jawline so structuured so sexy. He was sexy. MATE!!! My inner wolf screamed. My eyes started to turn yellow as my inner wolf was determined to go to her mate. And then i picked up on another scent, also comong from him, a human scent.
How could this be?? Wolf and human scent coming form the same person. Maybe theres a human behind him. Yeah, thats it. A human behind him. He cant be human, hes wolf, can he?
