"Haohao, what are you gonna get?" The members of S3 had finally finished their practice for a few hours so Hoshi and Minghao decided to walk to the nearest convenience store.

"Mmm I don't know. Probably just a drink or something," Minghao didn't really want anything. He was going just to get some fresh air.

Minghao checked his phone for the time.

*JUNEDAY HAS SENT YOU A PHOTO*

Jun! Minghao immediately opened the app to look at the picture. Jun was with another guy who Minghao assumed was his brother because Jun told him he didn't really hang out with anybody.

Just as Minghao was about to reply, the duo reached the door of the shop. The rush of cool air was refreshing considering it was one of the hottest summer days ever. Or at least, that's what it felt like.

His friend immediately walked to the chips aisle, so Minghao just followed. Hoshi was grabbing two bags of shrimp flavored chips.

"Stocking up are ya?" Minghao teased.

"No, I'm getting one for Seungkwan. He said he was going to stay behind to work with his vocal coach a little more," Hoshi explained. Seungkwan and Hoshi had always been closer to each other than Minghao was to either of them and maybe that was just due to the fact that Minghao was from China or that he was the last to join S3. Either way, Minghao was going to make an effort to become good friends with the two. They had been the only ones who really took an interest in him when he first met the group.

"Oh! Minghao, I forgot to ask you, Boo and I are going to the light bridge tonight. Do you wanna come?" Hoshi asked, eyes still scanning the shelves.

"Yeah, of course! I'd love to go!" Minghao beamed. Hoshi smiled kindly and handed him a bottle with pink liquid inside.

"Here," he said. "This is really good. I don't know if they have it in China, but it's my favorite!"

"Oh, I don't think I've ever seen this before, but I'll try it." China. Jun. Minghao had forgotten to reply to his friend! He took out his beat up phone to show Jun what he was getting. He was so caught up in this action that he hadn't noticed that Hoshi had moved on to the register. Minghao jogged to the front of the store to pay for his drink.

"Wow, it's pretty dark out, huh?" Hoshi nudged Minghao's shoulder. They looked down the road, no cars were coming. Minghao had a bad feeling about this. Two kids walking down a dimly lit street? This is the stuff horror movies are made out of.

"Well, I hope we don't get murdered!" Hoshi said in an all too happy tone. Minghao looked at him with a small frown. He knew that Hoshi was trying to lighten the mood of the creepy situation, but Minghao could see that his friend was as uneasy as he was.

They started back towards towards the dorms and it wasn't until a few meters from the street did somebody finally say something.

"Wait- did you hear that?" Hoshi stopped suddenly. "I think I heard something." Minghao's eyes widened.

"Hoshi I swear to god if you're trying to-"

"No, no! For real!" Hoshi cut him off. He dropped his voice to a whisper. "I think somebody is following us."

They turned around and squinted back towards the way they came. Due to the broken street light, of course, the road wasn't as lit as they wanted it to be. Minghao couldn't make out much besides the outline of cars and buildings, but he could see some movement close to the ground. Almost like somebody was crouching.

Minghao tapped his friends shoulder. Hoshi looked at him and Minghao pointed to where he saw the movement, but there wasn't anything there. Hoshi gave him a curious look and shrugged his shoulders.

"Run on three," Hoshi mouthed.

The two started to back up slowly. Hoshi held up one finger.

His second finger popped up. Two.

THREE!
