It's senior year at Hilverton High, and Veronica Bennett just wants to get through this year so she can travel the world, writing. But first she has to deal with her best friend, Watson, who is keeping secrets from her. Then there's also her worst enemy, Lucas, who seems to know something about Veronica's past that he's not letting on. In this Australian high school there's a rivalry between houses like no other, and secrets go back years.

Characters

Veronica Bennett (known as Benn)
Looks: Long, dark brown, wavy hair; average height, quite slim.
Personality: Veronica is honest, clever, curious and broad-minded, but she's also bitchy, self-obsessed, rude and impatient. She has an older brother named Dan. Her father is a tattooed ex-musician and her mother is a blonde businesswoman.

Watson Langley
Looks: Dark brown curly hair, tan, tall and toned.
Personality: Watson is trustworthy, strong, protective and kind, but he struggles with relationships and girls. He has a younger sister named Blazon who he loves and is very protective of.

Ainsley Shepherd
Looks: Short and petite with pale skin and straight, wispy blonde hair
Personality: Ainsley is shy and reserved, but very determined, organised and passionate. She can come off as a bit of a dumb blonde, and she's very self-conscious. She has a twin brother named Leo. Her parents were both in a band in the eighties 

Leo Shepherd
Looks: Blonde wispy hair, skinny and short, with glasses
Personality: He's quite shy, but around his friends he likes to talk about interesting facts and new discoveries in science. He's passionate about science and technology. He's a bit of a nerd, but he's also very thoughtful and kind. His twin is Ainsley

Harrison Wray
Looks: Very tall, with strawberry/orange blonde hair, the colour of honey, and a very long, distinguishing nose
Personality: Harrison loves to laugh, and loves fucking up, being the center of attention, and being with mates. He tries to make everything into a joke.

Julian Whitney
Looks: Dark tan, sandy blonde hair, pale milky green eyes. He has a very strong jawline
Personality: He's wild, carefree, happy, loving and very artistic. He likes art, smoking and his friends more than anything.

Lucas Elmhirst
Looks: Tall and tan, with golden hair and sharp eyes
Personality: Lucas is temperamental and rude, and he always likes to have his way. He can be especially two-faced. He is very charming and witty to girls that he's interested in, and incredibly rude to anyone he dislikes, especially Veronica and Watson.
