You tapped your pencil against your notebook with irritation before letting out a growl of frustration. "I hate geometry!" you sighed dramatically as you scribbled what you'd written out on your paper.

Your friend, Izuki, frowned as he looked over at you from where he sat by your side. "Come on, (f/n), there's no need to get so bent out of shape," he stated simply, trying to hide the smirk he felt threatening to spread across his lips.

"I'm going to kill you," you growled as you glared at him with your (e/c) eyes.

Izuki's gray eyes widened slightly and he looked taken aback. Suddenly, he held up a finger before grabbing his notebook and showing you his work. "But someone will catch you if you do. I have proof." He pointed to the mathematical proofs that he'd written out.

"I hate you." You got up, carrying your things with you as you went to go and sit by one of your other friends instead.

"Why?" he asked, sounding smug.

You saw the mischievous look in his eyes as you replied, "Because I do."

"Well that's a very circular argument."

You clenched your hands into fists as your face burned with irritation and embarrassment. You had nothing to say to that and you were too flustered to respond.

Throughout the day, Izuki continued to bother you with his stupid puns. He did this often, but today, he seemed to be making puns at practically everything, and it was quite irritating. In every subject, he managed to find a way to make a lame joke or five.

"I have an idea about a theme for this book. It's pretty novel," he stated proudly during literature class.

During a frog dissection, you asked him how he was able to cut into the frog without being creeped out. Even though he was perturbed by the dissection, he didn't miss an opportunity to make another pun. "I guess you could say that I've got guts." He even held up a piece of something that he'd removed from the inside of the frog to further demonstrate.

During lunch, you'd spilled some juice on Izuki's phone on accident. You apologized profusely and wiped it off. When you asked him if it turned on, he simply stated, "It looks like it's still got some juice in it."

He was ridiculous with those stupid puns of his, but his pick-up lines were even worse. Even though his comments irritated you, you couldn't deny that they were amusing and the way he tried to entertain you made your heart flutter.

"Shun, if you try and use another pick-up line on me or make another pun, I'm going to slap you." Your crossed your arms in front of your chest as you rolled your eyes at him. The two of you were walking home together and you couldn't take his jokes anymore at this point.

"Okay, okay, I'll stop," he consented, putting his hands up in surrender, "Besides, I'm all punned out for the day." A sheepish smile appeared on his lips and you couldn't help but chuckle a bit. "But, I have something to tell you."

"It had better be good," you told him, brushing your (h/c) hair away from your eyes.

"(F/n), I love you."

You scoffed and waved him off. "What kind of joke are you going to make now?" you asked, feeling annoyed at the thought of him joking about something like that.

"I'm not joking," he stated bluntly.

"Sure." You rolled your eyes again with disbelief.

"(F/n)." Upon hearing a serious tone in his voice, you stopped walking and turned to face him. You didn't have time to react before his arm wrapped around your back and moved you closer to him as he pulled you into a kiss.

"Shun...!" you gasped quietly when the two of you broke away, breathing quicker than before. What just happened? One second, I was looking at him, the next, I was kissing him?!

"I wouldn't joke about my feelings for you," he commented, blushing as he looked away, rubbing the back of his head. He looked quite bashful and it was pretty cute. "Isn't it obvious how much I care about you?"

You pursed your lips and smirked slightly. "If you loved me, you wouldn't subject me to those puns."

He looked into your eyes for a long time, as if considering your point. At least, that's what you thought he was doing. He was actually trying to formulate a pick-up line to win you over.

"Hey, you've got something in your eye," he blurted out.

"What?!" You started rubbing your eyes. How embarrassing! Especially when the two of you were this close together.

"A sparkle."

"Shun, I'm going to—"

He quickly cut you off with another kiss, and all of your anger melted away, being replaced with a warm bliss that made you lower the hand that you'd raised to slap him and put it on his shoulder instead. His lips were surprisingly soft, and you found yourself leaning into the kiss, returning the favor.

"You would never slap me since I know you love me so much," he suggested cheekily when he pulled away from you for a moment.

"The second part of that statement is true. The first part, not so much. I do love you, but that's not going to save you from getting slapped when you bust out another one of those puns," you informed him with a sweet smile.

Luckily, Izuki managed to hold off on his puns for long enough to avoid getting a red handprint stamped on his face.
