As i walk by the lobby of our school, i put my head down. I walk with my head down the whole way not daring to make eye contact with James, Nick, Max, or even Alex. Alex is the worst because since he is dating Madison, she is a royal pain when it comes to other girls. I could talk to Nick because he is Tiffany's boyfriend but i do not. I just keep walking. Something about the populars makes me mad. I just feel so insecure around them. They wear tight clothes and heavy makeup, i wear plain clothes and light makeup. I'm just not meant to be popular.

Besides, way back in like 4th grade i had the biggest crush on Alex. I have gone to the same school with him since he moved here in 2nd grade. First it was elementary school. Everyone was friends with everyone. There were no bullies. No jocks. No nerds. And no populars. When middle school came, it was chaotic. People i was friends with only three months before were now so different. By the time high school rolled around, i was considered invisible. I do not know where or how our trails parted but they did. As i am walking through the lobby, i can feel Alex staring at me the whole time. What is he doing? Just then i see Madison.

"Hey dwarf. I need to talk to you" She crosses her arms. I stare at her a little afraid. "I know about your little 4th grade crush. I also know that next year you are going to be here. Stuck in this stupid little town because you are too afraid to go to college. Do you really think that you can act all innocent when he stares at you? There is only so much i can do so you need to do the rest including this." She drops a textbook and some papers in my arms " This is due Friday and after school, we are going shopping so i just do not have the time to do it. So, if you do not do all of it, i will expose you for the real loser you are. And i am not just talking about your crush" She smoothly walks passed me. I take her books and papers and put them in my locker then walk to my first class. Biology. I walk into biology and everyone is hovered around the front table. That can only mean one thing. New seats. This sucks, i sat in the perfect spot and i liked my partner. But i guess i have to move. I glance at the new seating chart and sit down. Once i get all my stuff out, Alex takes a seat next to me. Great.
