Where was I? All I could see was black. I tried moving but I was frozen. Frozen in what though? Time? Space? No. I was frozen in what started out as a dream, then turned to a nightmare in a matter of seconds.
It stared out black. Then gradually turned white. Then yellow. By that time I realized where I was. I was being carried by my mother. My face nuzzled into her stunning golden locks. My stirring caused her awareness. Adjusting me in her arms so I faced her, she smiled. I started laughing. I had long forgotten what it was like to laugh. It felt so realistic. I was in pure bliss. But I knew something was wrong. I hadn't been this happy in over ten years.
Unfortunately I was right. As soon as the thought crossed my mind, it all dissappeared.
"Mama!" I yelled. But I couldnt speak. I couldn't make noise. Not a sound.
I appeared in a new environment but this was different. I was hovering. Almost like I was spectating, like you would after you died in a multiplayer video game.
It looked like a train. Or a subway to be more exact. Then I realized where I was. For sitting directly beneath me were the two people I wanted more than anything. My mother and father.
I won't describe what happened because I cannot fathom words to describe how horrendous the scene I saw was. All I will say is as I screamed to my parents to get off the train, I saw thier last moments on Earth.
The scene then faded out to black. The high pitched screams of my mother still rang in my ears. The desperate cries of my father felt like daggers. I was so broken. How could one beautiful life be anihilatted right after another. What could they have done to deserve such a cruel and unforgiving fate?
As the scene replayed in my head I started to hear murmurs. I couldn't recognize the voices. We're these classmates that had spoken of me behind my back? Or random people wondering why a 5 year old was crying by herself in a forgotten alley way? It was then that I heard the three words that I will never forget. I had no idea who it was or when this happened but I will take this memory to my grave.
It was a man's voice. Or more like a teen's.
My entire surroundings went pink.
