Chapter's Eight- R.O.D.

Khalif ran his hands over my naked body.
We weren't sleep, just lazy.

"What time is it?"

Khalif leaned over and grabbed his phone.

"7:20."

"We have to get ready to go to school.." I mumbled in his chest.

"Ok..." He muttered back.

We laid there.

"I don't wanna go.." I whined.
He laughed at me.

We heard a knock on the door, but before we could answer, Slim burst in.

"Mama said get up and get ready to go to school," he said.

We both looked at him and didn't say anything.

"Get up wit y'all nasty asses," he said louder.

"Get out wit yo ugly ass!" I said back.

"Lil freaky ass children," he mumbled before closing the door.

I chuckled.
"He gets on my nerves sometimes.." I said.

"Mine too," he replied.

I sat up and sighed.
"I'm getting in the shower, you coming?"

We pulled up to the school parking lot. Today, I planned on doing absolutely NOTHING.

I was tired and had a "fuck it" mindset.

I opened the door and Khalif helped me out.

I grabbed his hand and leaned on it.

"I don't wanna he here!!" I kicked. "My legs hurt and I just wanna go to sleep.." I sighed.

"Wanna get on my back?" Khalif asked.

I nodded swiftly. He bent down and lifted me up.

"You're so good to me baby," I said swinging my legs.

"I try to be," he smiled.

I could tell he was tired too, but he offered to carry me.

We walked into class. We were late, but honestly, who cared? It was Friday, no one was giving work anyway.

We walked into Mr. Abdoli's class. He stared at us for a moment, then turned away.
I could understand why, I was still on his back.

"Hoe-bag!" Aaryanna whisper shouted.

I tapped Khalif's shoulder as a sign to put me down.
He put me down and walked to his seat.

I sat next to my friend.

"Hello," I said sleepily.

"You didn't respond to any of my messages..." She said.
I looked at my phone and saw she had been blowing up my phone since she left the carnival.

"Oops.." I shrugged.

"What's gotten into you?" She asked.

I gave her a knowing look.

"Ooohhh..it's who's gotten into you.."

I nodded and put my head down.

"Hoe ass!" She laughed.

I just smiled.
"Where's Jayden?"

"He's in Ms. Smith's class. He has an off period now and he needs to catch up in her class."

I nodded.

"I can't tell if you're tired or high..know your ass it could be both." She said, slightly confused.
