I WAS A DODO BIRD
I lived on a small island in the Indian Ocean.
I was three-feet tall and weighed forty pounds.
I was not made to fly; please, no emotion.
I walked everywhere; I knew no bounds.
I ate fruit, seeds and nuts and had no notion––
A people explosion meant poof no more grounds.
Rufus thinks he would have liked the dodo bird.
