The Truth

Hello Mina(everyone)! I'm sorry I couldn't update. I wanted to but then my family came and didn't have time because of them.

"Seilah what's the big reason behind this?

Asami's POV

This question echoed throughout the whole room. It was silent what felt for a long time.

"Asami I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have been gone for this long. I-I..'' Tears started coming from Seilah's eyes.

''Seilah please tell me?!''

''It's because of your father.''

''M-my father?!'' I couldn't believe it. But then I remembered all the crimes he did. So breaking my heart was also one of his crimes.

"Four years ago when we were in a relationship your dad didn't approve. One day he came to me and asked me if I could leave you alone. I first thought it's because we are lesbian. But there was more behind it.''

''What do you mean?''

''It's true he didn't like the fact that we are both girls. He understands but he also didn't like me because I'm a Fire Bender.''

''So you left me because my father didn't like Benders?''

"Yeah. He invited me to your house and asked me if I can leave you? I obviously said no but he offered me a lot of money. I still didn't want to leave you so I declined the offer and went home. When I was on my way home a Chi blocker attacked me and kidnapped me.''

''Wait what?!''

''I was unconscious for a long time and when I woke up I was in an unknown room. I looked around and I saw Amon. It turned out that he wanted Hiroshi's help in the civil war so to gain his trust he kidnapped me so that Hiroshi would be happy. I tried to fight back but I lost. Amon gave me a new identity and I could choose a name. I chose Masami because it reminded me of you. He sent me to a small city in The Fire Nation and there I worked as a cop.''

''But why did you come back?''

''After you and Team Avatar defeated Amon I came back. It took me some time to move back. At least a year, because 6 months later a big part of Republic City was made of Spirit houses. When I came back I heard you and Team Avatar were searching for New Airbenders so I waited for you to come back. But when you came back I didn't have the courage to see you.'' More tears were falling from her eyes.

''Why not?''

''When I wanted to see you I saw how happy you were with your friends. And I wanted to attend Tenzin's daughter's Airbending tattoo ceremony, but when I came you and The Avatar were very close. I just didn't want to be an obstacle between you two. After sometime I joined the police and started to work as a cop. I decided to move on and a few weeks ago I began a relationship with Mako. I didn't know he was your ex.'' Seilah was silent for a moment and then she continued.

''Asami even though I'm in a relationship with Mako I still can't forget you. I-I love you. I just want to be with you and never leave you again. And if you're thinking that it's your dad's fault. No it's not. Before he died I went to his prison and we talked. He felt sorry and asked me to make you happy.'' After she was done speaking she sat on a chair and cried. Tears were also falling from my eyes. I walked to the chair Seilah was sitting on and sat next to her.

''After you were gone I couldn't sleep for many days and I searched for you everywhere. I never thought you would suffer so much just because you love me. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry. Please forgive me?!'' I hugged her and cried.

''It's okay Asami. No one is at fault here. I'm just glad I can see you again.''

"I-I'm still with Korra so I'm not sure how I should think about you now. Please give me some time to think straight.''

''Okay. I'm also with Mako now so I should do the same.''
