Chapter 1

It's show time, I can't believe today's the day. It's finally happening. I'm having my hair and make up done as we speak. You're probably all wondering what I'm on about right? Well, today is the day I finally get to walk the run-way for Calvin Klein, the past five years have built up to this moment, me and Jayde have been on about this moment for as long as I can remember. Jayde and I become friends back in middle school, ever since we've both had the same dream, which we both get to fulfil together today.

"Shannon, will you keep your head still" Lilly my stylist moaned behind me, I'm such a fidget.

"Arghh, How long left?" I mumbled, my bum has gone completely numb.

"Well if you stopped moving around you'd be done by now" Lilly laughed as I huffed. I decided to sit as still as I could, the quicker my hairs finished the quicker my make up will be done then I can finally get out there.

I was snapped from my thoughts as I heard Lucas walking towards me
"Make up time" He smiled. Finally after what seemed like hours my hair is finally done. I let out a shaky breath as each bit of make up was applied to my skin, I guess the nerves are kicking in now, great.

"Bold make up is perfect" Lucas smiled as he applied grey eyeshadow to my eyes, Lucas is from Paris, he's one of the most down to earth make up artists you'll ever meet, he's so caring and he's amazing at his job. The way he takes in every part of detail when applying make-up is amazing, everything has to be perfect.

"I'm so excited" I squealed "how's Jayde feeling?" I haven't seen Jayde since practise this morning.

"She's just as nervous as you are sweety" just as Lucas replied Jayde appeared next to me. "Here she is"

"Hey hey, how're you feeling?" Jayde asked.

"Excited, but nervous, you?" I grinned.

"Same here Shan, i can't believe the day has finally come" Jayde grinned.

"You two have nothing to worry about, you're both amazing, you'll do an amazing job" Lucas spoke up "oh and you're all done"

"Aww, thank you luc" I pulled him into a tight hug, just as I went to walk away with Jayde he pulled us back.

"Not just yet, I would like a photo with my two favourite ladies" he winked, he pulled out his phone and we gathered into the photo, smiling brightly for the camera.

Jayde's hair was long and perfectly straight, along with light brown eyeshadow and a natural foundation tone showing of her perfect cheek bones, her look was completely different to mine, my hair was in tight curls and my make up was bold, I had a grey smoky eye tone along with bold eyeliner and dark lipstick. The only thing that was the same was the fake eyelashes they had used.

"Ahh I can't believe this is happening" Jayde jumped up and down.

"I'm so nervous" I took a deep breath, Jayde linked my arm and we headed towards the dressing room.

"Come on ladies, get dressed it's almost time" Ava, the fashion stylist for Calvin Klein ushered us into our dressing room.

"Have you been told what colours you'll be modelling for us?" She smiled.

"I believe I'm grey" I smiled,

"And I'll be modelling the purple" Jayde grinned. Ava handed us our underwear before leaving the room.

Half an hour until show time, bring it on.
