Madelyn's POV

It's been a couple weeks now that I've been friends with Shawn, and so many people went crazy. I was actually invited today by Felicity Harvard, to walk with her to class and to sit with her during lunch and to walk home with her. And she's one of the most popular girls in school. I rejected it obviously, 30% because it was probably a dare to make any social contact with me, 40% because she probably asked me because of me and Shawn and 20% because even if she really did want to be friends with me, I would've probably said something really embarrassing and ruin it all. And so many of his fans have been so supportive but there has been the odd couple hate tweets saying the most ridiculous stuff like I'm trying to replace Lottie, some of them have been really extreme. I was fine.

I'm not gonna lie it's been hard trying to keep up with school and balance work at the coffee shop. But I was fine.

Camille, the owner of the coffee shop had come back from her month-long trip in Rio 5 days ago so I started to get back in my old job and school routine.

"What's up cockroach?" I heard a tree say to me while I was walking home from school. I thought I was drugged so I shook my head and carried on walking. "Flour-cakes, I'm down here." The voice said again and I looked over the waist-height white fence and saw Shawn with his guitar, sitting on the green grass, leaning against the tree.

"Ok that makes a lot more sense for a second I thought a tree was calling me names and I was thinking how dare a tree call me Shawn's nicknames?!" I took a sarcastic sigh of relief, jumping over the fence and joining him on the grass. For the few weeks we've been friends, we've grown really close. And that caused a lot of weird nicknames with real cool backstories. "Whatchu workin' on hedgehog?"

"Nothing.. Literally I've been sitting here for about over an hour and nothing. How was your day at school?" He said, strumming his guitar lightly.

"It was cool, I guess, I mean it's getting a lil' stressful with work an' all but you know," I say nudging his arm, "nothing the good ol' pork roll can't handle." and we both laughed at our classic nickname. "Speaking of which I gotta go!" I say jumping up and over the fence.

"Man but you just got here! Dang it, ok but when you're back we need another honey butter session! I'm honestly bored outta my MIND because of you!" He groans. We call our cover sessions 'honey butter sessions'. Why is jam only allowed to be the word before session? And why can't there be honey? Ever thought of that?

"Great! Because of me! Niiice!" I shout, not looking back at him and raising a thumbs up in the air to him. "See ya flat-cake!" I smirk.

"It's not that flat!" I hear him yell in defence. Giggling, I carried on making my way to work.

I loved working at the coffee shop. It wasn't the most popular one but it was my favourite. But it just happened to be Lily's favourite too. Which is why I sorta hated it too.

Mine and Lily's fallout was pathetic. In the short term, it was in actual fact, pathetic. We had worse fights, like normal friendships do. But because we were the best of friends, we spoke to each other and worked it out. We were really responsible when it came to stuff like that.
