Her eyes were amused and dark sipping her tea. She stared at me almost as if I was a joke.
I was.
"So you think because your feelings got hurt you can just come back?" She said in utter amusement.
I kept my mouth shut.
"After all you've done to get away you think you can just COME BACK." She chuckles setting her cup down.
"Temporarily you may stay but, I think it's best you find another home." She gets up and walks upstairs.
"You know where everything is, goodnight." She shuts her door and I'm filled with silence.
Silence.
I let a tear slip and go into the guest room. I laid down and stared at the ceiling. I lost not only Demi but Katy also and she wasn't fazed.
I hear my door creak open and a yawning Isabelle walks in. She was in a sleep trance.
She hops in the bed and cuddles up in a small ball.
"I miss you lee lee." She whimpered.
I gulped and looked at her starting to cry silently. I left her behind being selfish.
Selfish.
I cuddled her closely as I fell asleep.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" I hear a muffled, blurry yell.
"Because she's temporary." The other voice says coolly.
"BUT-BUT YOU GUYS HAVE A FAMILY!"
It was Paige.
"Had." Katy corrected
Had.
"Katy you can't possibly shun her away from the kids she mysteriously have with you."
"Did you live under a rock? She practically shun me away from the children I BORE. LETS ALSO NOT FORGET THE FACT SHE DIDNT EVEN LEAVE A TRACE. NOT A NUMBER. NOT A ADDRESS. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY NOT A STATE! SO DONT FUCKING TELL ME ABOUT SHUNNING BECAUSE IM AT LEAST LETTING HER STILL HAVE PARENTAL RIGHTS!" Katy said
They had a sharp silence and then Paige started.
"She only left because you were sick. Did you tell her how many meds they had to put you on? Or how they had to induce you into a coma? Or most importantly you had a tumor."
Tumor?
had?
"I'm done with this conversation." I hear chairs move and stomps up the stairs with a door slam.
I sit up in bed and stretch. I noticed Isabelle was still sound asleep. I slowly got up and went downstairs. Paige sat at the island sipping coffee and on her phone.
"Hi." I whisper. She quickly turns around and a smile appears on her face as she attacks me in a hug.
"Le I missed you soooo much. How you've been? Are you okay? Where are you gonna go? How w-"
I put a finger to her lips to ssh her.
"I'm fine and I guess I'll find out today." I sigh and plop on the chair next to her.
"You heard what I said earlier didn't you..?"
I look confused at first but nod.
"Well I bet you want an explanation." She sighs and I shrug.
"You really don't have to."
"But you wanna know and besides Katy isn't going to tell you."
She was right but I think I should respect her privacy. She did give me a place to stay.
"No, I want to respect her privacy."
Paige shrugs, "If you insist."
There was a silence until she spoke.
"Well I can help you find a place? I'm also looking." She says showing me her phone that had apartments and small houses displayed on a site.
"Maybe we can be roommates again." I chuckle trying to lighten the mood.
"Maybe." She says smiling at me.
She goes back to sipping and scrolling as I get up and pour me some coffee.
A few moments later, I hear small feet slap the floor and a gasp.
"Lee Lee?!" I turn around and I see a surprised Isabelle.
"Isabelle?!" I say in the same tone. She runs up to me and I catch her in my arms.
"You're back?!!?" She says patting my back.
"Yes I am baby girl." She pushed out of the hug and stares in my face as if I wasn't real.
"I'm as real as it is belle." She giggles and slides down.
"My wish came true." She says matter-of-factly.
"What was the wish?"
"That you and the babies would be here." Paige slipped her in her seat.
"Mommy did too. Right mommy?!"
"I did." She sighs and then turns on her heels to me.
"You want some breakfast? It's out of the way since I'm making Izzy some."
"Sure if it isn't a bother." Paige smiles and begins on her cooking spree.
It felt nice to have this calm environment until the grim reaper awoken.
