Thomas Elliot was just one week younger than I. But somehow he knew enough, and had been through enough trouble in his time to have the knowledge of a grown man, one of the few things above him being the concept of romance. Something I changed fairly quickly within the course of our unspoken summer months.
Naturally, those few months were short lived. . .and our teenage lust faded into the breeze of autumn air. The alluring memories constantly reminding me of what could have been, and what could still be.
