"That's him isn't Naomi?" Kathrine's usually harsh voice had dropped to a near whisper as she brought up the subject yet again. Her eyes scanning the crowded cafeteria for the hundredth time today alone. Picking out yet another victim to deem as 'Thomas; The Unforgivable Heart breaker'.

I shake my head grimly, hardly even noticing the classmate she has chosen this time. At this point it didn't seem to ever matter who she chooses, Kat had been dead wrong about his identity for  weeks now. Hardly even picking someone who resembled him. "Kat, just give up on it already."

"Come on Naomi!" She whines, gripping onto my forearm. "Just tell me what he looks like one more time and I'll give up after three guesses. I promise."

"Do you just not listen to me?" I mumble back at her, crossing my arms as I speak, her hand falling limply beside her at my action.

"Naomi. . .come on. Promise on my life this will be the last time I ask."

"Fine. One more description for three more guesses. So listen this time" A heavy sigh escapes me, and I pinch the bridge of my nose as I speak. I had let her win this round, solely because I knew she would have pestered me until I had agreed, which could have taken days.  "Unlike ninety percent of this school, he has dark skin. Everything about him his dark. His hair, his eyes-Kat!"

"I'm listening!" She turns back towards me, attempting to look as if she had been hanging on to every word-something that was a complete lie-as she hardly ever listened to anyone, especially those close to her.

"You little liar. You were not, if you're not going to listen, I'm keeping my mouth shut." My words leave my lips a bit harshly. But I was tired of having to explain everything to her several times before she actually began to listen.

Masses of people begin to swarm out of the schools large lunch room, signaling our release. I proceed to follow my peers, lifting my bag from the ground when Kat had rests her hand on my forearm yet again. "Him."

She points at to the broad shoulders in the back of the room, and the single glimpse I take tells me he isn't my Thomas. His skin being  far too fair, his body not anywhere near his sizable stature. "Two more guesses."

Kat lets out the softest sigh before searching again. Her eyes quickly scanning over the crowd as masses walk pass us. "Umm. . .him." Once more my gaze follows that of her fore finger, and once more my red headed friend has failed to find him.

"One more." I find myself following the others as I utter the words. Kat falling a few steps behind me, her fore finger pointing at out into the crowd for the third time.

"Him."

I took a small glance in the direction she points in. Beginning to quicken my pace, not even wanting to answer her. It would hurt me too much.

"Naomi. . .Naomi! Was I right?" She hollers after me, and I begin to move quicker as I give her a final response. Showing my defeat for a second time.

"Yeah, you were right."
