Chapter 6
"follow me" Ashton grumbled leaving the room
I followed him down the endless hallway through twist and turns, I would get lost as soon as made the first turn. Finally we came up to a large door it was brown and had a engraving of a lion roaring on it. As the door opened a smell of honey filled my nose. He then took off his jacket threw it on his chair jumped on the bed then looked at me as i stood there staring at him. We had a staring contest for about 1 minute until he said
"Stop staring, start talking" he said chuckling a deep cute laugh
"Well whats up with your mother staring at me with red eyes?" I asked causally
"oh, well you kinda embarrassed my mom because you see we all have powers or gifts only the royals have it. My dad can identify species and kill anyone in an instant by staring, my mom can kill things with her eyes but it is a long agony filled process. Nia can levitate things make people do what she wants. The last but not least me I can read minds, levitate things, kill people with my eyes, and see glimpses of the past and control fire, and when her gift didn't work on you she felt embarrased" he explained
"So she tried to kill me" I asked timidly
"yup" he said popping the p
"so you can read my mind" I asked worridly
"no for some strange reason i can't because when i try to, i feel weak" he said
"oh" was all i could say
"next question" he asked
"Why does your mom hate me?" I asked
"Well i guess it's because she doesn't like the fact of another girl running the kingdom" He said
"but i'm not running the kingdom" I said
"I know" He said
"are you going to tell me why? " I asked
"Nope" he said popping the p
"Ok" I said feeling confused
"Come sit next next to me" He said pointing to the spot next to him
I carefully made my way over to his bed as I sat down the bed was super comfy, I finally looked around his room the walls were red and plain he had a dresser a white couch and a t.v, closet and bath. It wasn't much just plain, I liked it.
"I know it's plain and boring" he said looking sad
"No, i love it very simple" I said
"um..thanks" he said gazing into my eyes as i gazed into his deep drown eyes
I started to feel something in my chest beating faster, it was my heart. No way my heart only beat faster when i'm scared, and i wasn't. I've read this somewhere in one of those books it'll come to me later.
"you have pretty eyes Jade" He said looking deep into my eys
"thank you" I said blushing
Then he leaned closer and closer just as our lips were about to touch, then he pulled away. Then he was at the door with his eyes red. I was confused officially what the heck is going on he kisses me the looks happy, then tries to kiss me again then backs away and gets mad. When I look back up to him he is shaking and looking at me with disgust and hate.
"WHATS WRONG WITH YOU" i yelled
"NOTHING, NOTHING AT ALL" i yelled
"WELL HOW COME-" i said before i was interuptted
"NEXT QUESTION" HE SAID RUDELY
"The Kiss in front of your parents" I said Sliently
" It was nothing more than a stage kiss, nothing more, nothing less" He said relaxing a little
Those words made me feel sad and kind of dissapointed, It really hurt but I didn't now why. It was just...Ugh...Complicated
"Well if your done with your ridiculous questions, may you leave my room i have a friend coming over" he said with a naughty smile on his face.
That to made my heart drop severely , the thought of him with another girl made me sick to my stomach but I wouldn't let him see how bad it hurt me.
"um, ok" i said getting up to leave As i took the first step out the door, I looked back and he just smiled and slammed the door making me flinch, I could hear him laughing. Then thats when i felt it, Aloness i had no one, Not even Jared wanted to talk to me. Then I decided to take a walk outside, then I noticed something,Ashton left me ungaured. This was my chance to get the hell out of here, but there was a part of me wanting to stay. I ignored that part and started running I didn't know where the heck I was. The hallways had turns and twist and endless halls, Then i finally follwed a flight of stairs which i assumed was the maid stairs. At the bottom of the stairs there was a big, old looking, rusty door. As i opened it, it began to creak loudly, When it was big enough for me to fit i squezzed myself out. When I realized I was out the house I started sprinting like crazy, Just because i'm a nerd doesn't mean i cant run like Hell. As i ran into the forest I got tired, well that was a good 25 minute sprint I think to myself. I'm free, I'm free, Im so happy, Ashton is really not the brightest apple in the bunch. Anyways I'm going to dwell form his mistakes, After what felt like 2 hours of walking I decided to take a break and I sat on a fallen tree. As I look around the forest the nature seems kinda eerie like really scary. I figured it was around night time since I awoke I the morning and it's been an hetic day. Then i Hear it a rustling noise I don't know what it is but it is scary, I could feel my heat pounding loudly in my chest. Then this loud Growl erupts and a big brown red eyed beast lunges out of the bushes and straight at me, instead standing there screaming like those girls in scary movies. I took off running full speed, then i felt a sense of deja vu when Aston was chasing me. Then the bear blindsided me and threw me to the ground and just when the beast is going to claw me apart, I hear a body drop. As I opened my tightly shut eyes I see the beast dead on the floor no wound or nothing. Ok thats weird i think to myself, And when i stand up i see two men looking at me with amazement, and shockness in their eyes.
"Grab her, she the one" The tall slender brown eye looking man said
"What! NO" I shout as the other man flashes over to me grabbing me by my neck
"This'll hurt for a while princess" The man said as he pulled out a needle ready to inject me with it.
I scremed, kicked, punched but it made no difference as he peirced my skin with the needle injecting a substance. I felt the substance flowing through my viens and i felt myself falling limp and my eyes felt heavy the a world of darkness overcame me.
Sorry I know I haven't written in a while, its just that i have so much homework anywho Hope you like.
