Chapter 21 -Ginny

Skye's POV:

My eyelids flickered open. The  Velcro sleeves were gone, I tried to move my arms but they hurt when I tried to moved them.
"Don't try to move." Jiaying said as she stroked my hair.
I attempted to hit her hand away but the pain in my hands was too great.
"Stop." I mumbled.
"Shhh everything is going to be okay, now that we know it worked we can train you."
"Please, tell me what happened after I was picked." I tried to stay clam so I didn't hurt myself.
"I chose you. the Deviner, or as you know it the obelisk, chooses only the Devine, it picks the Devine enough and gives them thousands of years of evolution, in just a little bit of time, it gives you powers. You, Skye, can control seismic activity."
It hit me hard, everything all at once just became a reality, Ward is dead, This woman is my mother, and I'm not normal anymore.
"That's impossible." I responded.
"No,it's not. When you were selected, before you were selected we ran test, I already new you would be a match because you are my daughter but they wanted to make sure." She pulled a chair up next to my bed and sat down. " they sedated you and we used the Deviner to make you, like this. I know this is a lot to take in we have all the time in the world for you to process this."
"Why did you leave me?"
"Excuse me?"
"Why did you leave me at an orphanage? Why didn't you keep me and raise me? Why did you just come into my life now?" My voice was unsteady as I spoke.
"Skye," she tried to put her hand on my arm but I moved away.
"Don't, don't touch me don't talk to me, I want to speak to Ginny."
"I'm sorry I ca-"
"Get out." I said pointing towards the door. "GET OUT!"
A man entered the room with a syringe.
"Ms.Skye please calm down." The man said.
"Let me speak to Ginny!" I yelled at him.
"Ms.Skye if you don't calm down I'll be forced to sedate you."
"I'll calm down when I can speak to Ginny!"
The man sighed and walked out of the room.
"WHERE IS GINNY?!" I yelled Jiaying, my mom, was standing near the door but had not left yet.
"Skye please calm down!" She was almost yelling at me but she was trying to stay calm.
"LET ME SPE-" a sharp pain shot up my side, I looked over my shoulder to see the man who had left the room just minutes before. I fell onto the bed.
"I told you to calm down." He said. His voice sounded familiar but he had a surgical mask on so I couldn't make out his features.
"Wha-" everything went black
3rd POV:

"Nice work Doctor." Jiaying said.
"I'm just doing my job." The man responded.
"Well nice work anyway."
"I'm going to contact one of the higher ups, maybe they can get Ginny down here."
"I'm afraid that's not possible."
"Excuse me?"
"Ginny is dead."

So I'm sorry for it taking almost two weeks to update. I had stupid writers block. Anyways it seems like Skye's always passing out and getting sedated to me. I will hopefully update sooner. also THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR 1k reads IM SO I DONT EVEN KNOW THE WORDS BUT THANK YOU SO MUCH, now I have to go because I almost missed the bus writing this.
