Vernon-It's Been A While

It was a couple of days before Valentine's Day and it's been already one whole year since your boyfriend,Vernon, went to study in France. You would always think of him everyday, wondering when he's going to come back to see you.
You were laying in bed, looking through your phone. You then got a call from Vernon:

Vernon: Hello
You: Vernon?
Vernon: yeah. I just wanted to tell you that I miss you
You: Awww I miss you too~
Vernon: well anyways, hope you have a good Valentine's.
You: you too
Vernon: well I have to go catch up on something, see you later
You: later? You mean on FaceTime?

Vernon hung up on the phone.
"Awww man" you said and sighed.

It was Valentine's Day and you had nothing to do since Vernon isn't around anymore. You decided to hang at the mall for a while. At your favorite store, you bought a red short dress because it's been a while since you last wore a dress. You also bought red flats to go along with the dress.
After you finished, you looked at your phone and saw it was already 7:30 pm.
You were getting out of your car and saw it was already dark outside. You entered your house and walked strait to your room to try on your new dress.
After putting it on, you looked At yourself in the body Mirror and suddenly *crack* you heard a noise out in the living room. You quietly walked out to see what it was but the lights were off, all you could see what the moon through your window.
"Hello....?" You hesitated. You walked through the kitchen to the living room and felt....rose petals on the floor...
Finally you were in the living room and saw...mini candles on the floor shaped as a hart. "Ver..non..?" You saw a man in a black suit on the middle of the heart.
"It's been a while" you quickly ran to him, trying not to hit the candles, and hugged Vernon.
"I missed you so much" you said
"Me too"
