Prologue:
"Niall? What're you doing?" I asked as i watched him tear the blankets off the bed.
"Re-living my childhood."
Niall had been acting weird lately. I have to give it to him though, he had been on tour for a while; he's probably just tired. I was so happy he was home, though. When he's away with the band it feels like a life time goes by.
"Kat, what're you thinking about?" Niall asked me.
I hadnt realized that i'd been staring straight at him with a blank expression. I think i'm just as tired as he is.
"Nothing, Niall. But are you gonna tell me what youre doing?"
He held up a finger, telling me to wait. I hate when he does this, and he knows it. But i cant get mad at him. His friendly set of mind reminds me like a small dog, who wants love and when you get mad at them they get a sad face. I sat on my couch, and didnt realize time was going past. I left Niall in my room, doing whatever it was he was doing.
"Kat?"
Crap. It had been longer then i thought. What had Niall done? I got up, and Niall was waiting for me, motioning me to go into my room.
When i walked in, Niall had built a fort, or a castle, i couldnt tell, out of cardboard boxes, and the sheets of my bed.
"Niall! This is incredible!" I approved of him as he was crawling inside.
"Come on, Kat! Come in!"
I crawled in behind him, he had put pillows in there and a portable dvd player. He put in a dvd, and then looked at me, reading the sad expression on my face.
"Kat? Whats wrong?"
"Its crazy," i paused, "thinking that this is all some people have."
"I know love," Niall comforted me, "but this is our cardboard castle, and youre my princess."
He kissed me on the forehead and started the movie.
