She didn't speak much. Probably why it took me forever to find Benny's. She was a shy girl. I chuckle.

She was my shy girl.

Who favors chocolate ice cream.

And so do I. It's so meant to be.

"Man you've been staring off into space for the seventh time this evening. What's got your maidenly heart so aflutter?" An amused voice drifted above the sounds of the people in Benny's.

Kevin. I would hate to remind you that you are on thin ice as it is. don't try my patience. You are here as my beta and you will act as such. Soon as I said that, he shuffled in his seat, giving out a nervous chuckle.

My surroundings suddenly snapped me back to reality. Here I am, giggling like a school girl over a woman I just met when I'm supposed to be out here handling business.

Said business began to speak.

"So your Telling me" the human leaned in, gaze unwavering "that you decline our offer?" There was a pause while the elderly man collected his thoughts before continuing, "I hate to say it young ruvik but this decline will cost you many...assets"

"Mr mckellon, if that's your way of barganing I would highly request that you take Another business course at that so called ivy leauge college you take pride in because I'm sure I heard what I would assume a measly threat and I for one," grabbing a fry from my once was porcelain white plate I poked the crooked nose of the most infamous mafia boss with emphasis to my words "don't. do. threats."

If looks could kill. I chuckle and Stood, my beta quickly right behind me, telling the men my goodbyes. As if this man could kill me. I wish he Would try. Give me something to do these days.

"Lovely dinner gentlemen. Very inconspicuous. Definetly not the mafia in a family restaurant...Uh, here," pulling a twenty out of my wallet I tucked the bill into the boss's breast pocket "eat up big boy."

I'm surprised the two men didn't up and attack me right there. I could practically see the steam flying out the old man's nostrils.

What a laugh.

Stupid power hungry mongrels should know better than to make me dip my fingers in something so absurd.

I don't smuggle. Especially not for humans.

"You have no idea what a big mistake you made ruvik" he ground out through is wrinkled lips.

"Guess we'll find out later John. Y'all have a nice evening."
--------------------------------------------------
"What time is it?"

"Six twenty seven."

"Want some Ice cream?"

"No not really. The smell of the old man's goon made me loose my appetite. Man he smelled like how shit would taste like if I knew what shit would taste like I mean don't even ask...  with like a hint of-"

"Alright let's go get ice cream. Make a left here."

"What? Didn't I just..." His voice trailed off, already following orders and pulling up into the small parking lot for icies.

I could see her from here.

Mate. Mate. Mate. My wolf growled out pawing at my conciousness

Not now ivan. We need to get to know her first. Make her comfortable.

I sip at the sight of the young woman vigorously scrubbing at the counter. A smile tugged at the corner of my lips.

She's perfect. She's mine. She's doesn't know it yet but she's mine. All I have to do now... Is to make her love me.

Great. I can do this.

"Ruvik... What's up? We're sitting out here. Ice cream less..."

"She's my mate." I pulled the car door handle opening and quickly stepping out.

"Holy shit for re-" Kevin's voice was shut off to be replaced with the sound of a car door slamming.

The cold air bit at the exposed skin of my chest.

Ok. Make her love me.

Let's do this.

I can do this.

I take my first step towards my future
