The Effort of Right Thinking

My mind searches not far for evil thoughts, for they linger behind doors that I've closed to society's misunderstanding. The misunderstanding is of course that sort of mock judgement in a court of supremacy while denying their own admission that they too have closed rooms. They will not admit that they too must warden the thoughts that seek the full manifestation that brings destruction.

For all of us though, the truth of our nature is that no effort is given to find an evil thought for they many times whisper from behind their wooden imprisonment that they should like to come out and play and promise to stay hidden. Yet they LIE, for as soon as their familiar doors are open they run amuck and wreak havoc upon the thinker and proudly display themselves on frowning faces.

So it would seem that the effort lies in keeping the doors locked and closed, and in walking away from them, depriving them of the attention they seemingly so desparately seek. And walking requires some effort yes, though be it little. It is but one step that begins the movement away from that which is despised that leads to another and another.

More effort must be given to the search for the more positive and pleasant thoughts, which can seem elusive until one discovers their hidden places. It would seem they hide from headlines, and instead long to be found in the eyes of another involved in the same journey. Or they may linger about smiling from atop a hill which again requires more effort to seek because the resistance of gravity is found to be a friend of those locked away, those desiring to draw me back inside to close the door with me on the other side forevermore.

Though the resistance makes the requirement of effort more necessary, the hilltop thoughts are still there. They can be found full of freedom and saturated in softened satisfaction, leaving one as refreshed as a warm Spring shower upon the sweet scented flowers. Their presence brings out the better qualities of the seeker and make the "seeker" the "sought after". For now the "sought after's" eyes are wide open for peering into by another searching for that same savored satisfaction that comes from the fruit of good thought held in open hands that beg for nothing, and give everything.
