"Samantha, I'll be home at around 10 tonight, so please lock the doors. I love you!" Said my mother as she rushed out the door. She is a police operator, so she is sort of 'over-protective' when it comes to me and my siblings. I have a little brother, Aiden, and a baby sister, Isabel, but we call her Bella. I am 15 years old, as of September. I'm a sophomore this year.
Since it was only 11am, I still had all day to make plans. Immediately, I ran upstairs to get my cell phone. My best friend, Tori, calls every morning. As I waited for her to call, I began making my brother and sister lunch.
As I stirred the pasta, I heard my phone vibrating against the counter.
"Hey! Come over!" I said.
"I'm already on my way! Is your mom home?" Tori said, laughing.
"Oh.. Cool! And no, my mother left for work about an hour ago."
Tori showed up a few minutes later. She rarely bothers to knock on my door. She's been my friend since we were in preschool, so were practically like sisters. We do everything together!
I put Bella down for her nap, and Aiden was satisfied with watching TV in his bedroom, so me and Tori went to my room to talk. We made plans to go to a party on this Saturday night. My mother would be working late, so I wasn't afraid of getting caught. My father isn't around anymore. He left my mom when she found out she was pregnant with Bella. Anyways, the party was being hosted but one of the popular boys at school. His name is Drew Bradley. He is popular for 2 reasons. He is rich, and he has hooked up with half of the girls at school. He isn't even a Sophomore though, he is a junior. Him and his clique go through girls in record times.
Me and Tori aren't exactly the 'popular type.' But this party is for everyone. No matter how you are known in school, you are welcome at this party, so me and Tori wanted to take this chance!
