Love or friendship? That is the question - First season

Chapter 22 - 1968.

Day 18 January 1968 Layla, Vick, Paul, Roger and I returned to London. It was Friday. We parted us from our family saying that soon when we could go back to visit them.We come to London in the evening and went out to dinner and then went to a pub.On Monday they resumed classes. Teachers wished us welcome back. From there full run with the studies. This year promises.

In March we return to Truro on a weekend, as Roger would participate in the championship bands with The Reaction. The band won the second consecutive year. Even studying Dentistry Rog never stopped rehearsing drums, guitar and guitar. The boys won the championship and entered an agreement to end the band. Rog as much as the other guys who were also attending college in other cities had no more time for testing. It was virtually impossible them to meet. They ended up with the band, but their friendship back.

We stayed in Truro just three days and returned to London.On the return trip to the British capital Rog told me to look for a rock band in London. But he did not want to stand still. He wants to return to play and this time the big city. He said balancing the studies with music.The encouraged to seek a band and fight for his dream.

The girls and I were looking for employment as well as boys. In May I got a temporary part-time job in a school supplies store. I am attendant. Work in the afternoon from Monday to Friday. There was not yet open apprenticeship positions for journalism students working in the area. Would only open vacancies from September. 

Until then follow it as a saleswoman at least I was earning my money. Little, but I helped. Imagine my run: Morning college, work in the afternoon. It was the college work and studying for exams at night. At that time the Saturday morning I went back to do swimming in a school of swimming and water aerobics. Vick was studying Photography landed a temporary job for three months in a photo studio attendant as well. There was not yet open apprenticeship positions. Anyway she accepted temporary employment. And Layla got a receptionist job at a law firm. Also temporary three months. That is, three of us were working and it has helped more we pay the bills. 

As for Paul boys got a temporary job also operator of a multinational company and Roger also got a temporary job telephone that Paul got him. The two worked at the same company. Roger said the money already help pay for the apartment and the money of the pension he received from Michael he would keep for more forward buy a simple and cheap car.  

The girls and I saw the guys pretty much just on Saturdays and Sundays at night or when had a holiday during the week. Despite the rush spoke with the two sometimes week by phone . 

Life of young students in the big city have been running and wonderful at the same time . It's a whole new world. We now have great responsibilities and we have matured gradually . 

Birthday Roger in July 26 we celebrate in a pub . My friend was doing nineteen. Time has passed quickly and Rog is getting older and more beautiful. Seriously , age has done well for him. It is tastier . On his birthday he got two girls in the pub . I did not like. I felt jealousy, but tried to disguise the best way. But Layla and Vick noticed :  

- Are you jealous , Yasmin . Friend useless to hide it. - Vick smiled . 

- It is normal Rog jealous of Yasmin and Yasmin Rog . - Layla laughed drinking beer . 

- Rog is even womanizer. Will never change . - I say angrily. 

- I believe he will change only if a thing happen . - smirked Vick looking at me. 

- What my friend ? Tell me , what is the miracle? - I ask. 

- If one day you're Rog 's girlfriend. - Vick laughed. 

- This is bullshit eh Vick . Are you drunk ? I girlfriend Rog ? NEVER.  

- Yasmin, do not say that word. The Never could one day become reality. - Layla completed. - Vick and I've noticed time that Rog likes you otherwise, but he's afraid to say it, knowing that you currently will not accept to be his girlfriend, you are afraid of losing the beautiful friendship you have. And another: you are too young, are studying do not want to know relationship for now, but make sure that one day Roger will declare to you. That day will come and we will be witnesses.
