When we got to Hogwarts the first years got into a long line in a room connected to The Great Hall. Professor Mcgonigall started calling out names to be sorted. "Black, Regulis!" She called and I panicked slightly. I walked up to the hat and put it on.
"Brave, cunning, smart, kind, what house should you go into? SLY- NO NO GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!" The hat yelled. The room went quiet they were shocked the hat almost put me in Slytherin, why me? Mcgonigall started clapping and the Gryffindor table soon followed.
After what felt like 30 minutes Hermione got called and got put in Gryffindor within seconds. Then Teddy, Gryffindor. Then they called Malfoy and to no surprise he and his cronies got put in Slytherin. Then Harry, again Gryffindor. Finally of my friends Ron, he luckily got put in Gryffindor.
We had dinner and afterwards Dumbledore got up and explained all the rules. After that we went to bed.
