Chapter 16... Zyir POV

Damn Keria done been in that store a long time. I looked up and finally seen my sister come out of the store. She got a big ass smile on her face. I love making my sister happy. Behind her walking out of the store was a familiar looking women and Heaven.

"Janet!" My mother shouted in the women's direction.

"Vera girl I ain't seen you since high school." Janet said and embraced my mom.

"Girl what you been up to??" My mom asked her.

"Everything, where you been hiding out at??"

"I moved to NY right after we graduated."

"Mama who is this??" I said butting in their conversation.

"This was my best friend in high school." She said looking at me like I was crazy for butting in her conversation.

"I didnt know you had kids Vera" Janet said.

"Yea, that's my daughter Keria and my son Zyir." She said introducing us.

"I just met Keria in the store. That name Zyir sound familiar. What's his last name?? She asked my mom.

"Owens" As soon as my mom said that Janet turned in my direction and said, "I think you know my daughter."

"What's your daughter name??" I asked unsure of who her daughter is.

"Jurnee" I sat stunned. Then my mama said, "That's the girl he goin crazy over."

"Where is she" I asked anxiously. I really need to talk to Jurnee.

"In the store"

My mama then continued her conversation with Ms. Janet, "So Janet I here we bout to be grandparents. How many months is she?"

"Almost 5 and she worries me to death. She in there shopping now complaining bout she can't fit none of her clothes" I drowned the conversation out and turned to Heaven who was sitting on the other bench. She could give me some info.

"Hey Heaven" as soon as I said that MyKel looked at me like I was stupid for speaking to her. It was awkward with them in the same room. I dont even know why MyKel came with us.

"Hey" She said dryly.

"Where you been at?? You got ghost on us." I said trying to lighten the mood.

"Work, Home, School" She said simply. I know her and MyKel both hated me right now for talking to her.

"How Jurnee been doing??" I asked really wanting to know.

"Fine, Aye why you trying to talk to me. I don't wanna talk and the way yo friend mugging me he don't want you to talk to me." She said annoyed.

"Bitch don't worry bout who I'm mugging. With yo hoe ass!" MyKel said harshly. Ion know why he being mean as hell. He know he still love Heaven. With his stubborn ass. When he said that Heaven quickly turned around with tears threatening to fall out her eyes.

"Boy why you called her a bitch?!?" My mama said snapping her head in our direction. MyKel quickly put his head down. "Just wait I'm gone tell yo mama you calling girls out of their names." She also said.

I looked up at Jurnee who looked like she had seen a ghost.

A week later

"Aye bruh, Where you at??" I said as I let myself into MyKel's house.

"I'm on my way down the stairs now!" As he made his way down the stairs I seen he had a girl behind him. This girl looked very famillar but I brushed it off until she left.

"Who was that??" I asked.

"Destiney" His ass will do anything to hurt Heaven.

"You foul bruh" He looked at me like I was stupid.

"How the hell I'm foul!" He asked.

"That's Heaven friend"

"So she aint my women" He said. I dont understand this nigga. How the hell you love somebody and hate them at the same time??

"Why you hold such a grudge towards her??" I asked truly wanting to know.

"Heaven was gonna be my ROD, my wifey, KelNiyah's mother figure but her ass chose to lie to me. The way I feel now that bitch can be on fire and I wouldn't spit on her to put it out" He said with venom in his words. When he said that I shut my ass up. Ain't no changing this nigga mind.

I walked into my house and heard my mothers laugh. I walked into the kitchen and seen her and Mama Janet talking.

"Hey Mama J, Hey ma" I said speaking to them.

"Hey" they greeted back.

"How Jurnee been doin??" I asked her. I like Mama Janet because she keeps it real. She also tells me about Jurnee.

"Lawd, that child gone run me crazy. All her ass do is eat. Yall gone have a greedy baby!" She said seriously. I laughed and went upstairs. Once I layed down in the bed and tried to go to sleep I couldnt Jurnee off my mind. I was determined to get her back.
