It was a rainy night in the deep city of Chicago. A black automobile pulled up to the sidewalk and out walked Dirk Larrington, famed detective across the nation. He was a tall man with a brown leather jacket and a fedora to match. He walked out into the large puddles on the walkway as he grabbed his luggage. He grabbed two black suitcases and the driver drove off. He walked along the empty street lighting a cigar. He then proceeded towards the nearby bar. It was managed by Jimmy Corlinni, a good friend of Dirk. He walked through the double doors of the baby blue painted corner building into a cesspool of smoke. Dirk plopped himself into a bar stool and stared into an abandoned paper sitting next to him. He picked it up and it read NEW ORLEANS MAN BECOMES MILLIONAIRE. "God I wish I could be that man." Corlinni said as he wiped the countertop with a rag. Then suddenly, the doors swing open and in pops a lean blonde in a red dress. She pulls her cigarette out of her mouth and looks Dirk straight in the eye and says "How's it going there? You look a little....lightheaded." "Might've been the whiskey." Says Dirk. As she gets up to use the restroom she whispers in Dirk's ear. She says " Come down this hall." He then follows her down the hall. "Look, I know who you are and I came here to get answers from you. So when I'm done here we'll....take it to your place." "Okay Mrs.." Dirk said. "Redford. Jessica Redford." She replied.
