Trapped between Kageyama's arms as your back was forced against the corner of the wall that wasn't comfortable at all, you gulped, every bead of sweat was screwing you up and it felt horrible but at the same time, Kageyama was so cool at that moment.
Kageyama had a certain look in his eyes that screamed strong, confident, and willing, that sent chills down your spine. Your stomach churned, and your heart tightened like whenever you were around him or when you watched Hinata Shoyo spike. The nervousness was overwhelming and it scared you a bit. Your hands played with the hem of your light shirt as you tried to plaster a calm expression on your face, which was difficult for Kageyama's face was too close to calm you down.
Kageyama, a good friend of yours whom you liked a lot, was dared to trap you between both his arms when he lost a game in volleyball 27 to 25. He had pulled you from the crowd in the school, where students walked and talked and gossiped all they wanted during break, into a corner rather well lit though hidden from any view. You realised at that single moment that you were alone with him and that freaked you out.
He aggressively pushed you against the wall and slammed his hand on the wall next to your head, leaning closer to you than anyone would ever. He was biting his lip, nervous, and just looking into your eyes, as if he was staring straight into your soul, reading your every thought. Which you hoped he wasn't because impure thoughts.
You could hear his breath; feel the air around you move to his movements; hear your own heartbeat; barely feel the skirt you were pinching between your fingers.
"Kageyama...?"
At that moment, Kageyama seemed to have completely switched personalities. His eyes seemed to glow and his gaze touched you everywhere and you felt a chill run down your spine, your breath heavier with each second passing.
And a switch.
"Holy shit! Uhm! (L/N)! Shit omg I'm so sorry. Crap- That- uhm- I didn't- I mean- THAT- I like YOU- and I just-"
He practically shouted as his eyes darted from side to side, making eye contact for a s flustered expression made what just happened 3 seconds ago so surreal. Though what caught your attention were three words.
The corner of your lips lifted into a small smile, then to a grin, digesting those words in your mind.
"Really?"
Kageyama froze in place, his whole body stiff from nervousness as his eyes met yours, he took a deep, shaky breath.
"Yes."
His voice broke.
You laughed so hard you were on the ground, tears in your eyes, holding on to your stomach.
Kageyama was so embarrassed and he didn't know what to do. Your laughter was so adorable and you were so adorable and he wanted to just kiss you then and there. It took everything to hold himself down.
Your lips still in a grin, with the after effects of hard laughter, you stood up, then grabbing his hand and holding them in yours, you tell him without hesitation, "I like you too."
Kageyama grinned like the adorable child he was, adjusting his hands and yours so yours would be in his comfortable ones.
"Will... Will you go out with me then...?"
You grinned.

[[XD rmb when I said that this would take a long time? I wasn't kidding. I wasn't sure of myself- so I really apologise! I only had my mood back just a few times for the past month and I just had my braces done too- I still have another 2 years before I can take it off since I just started-

Once I finish S2 of Haikyuu and understand Fukurobabies enough, there's gon' be Akaashi everywhere- so please do be patient with me- I'll do my best to balance everything- June's gonna be cool for me (hopefully) cause I might be going ice skating with a friend of mine and he's just busy af for now and so am I. I haven't seen him face to face since last year (was it?) I'm looking forward to it tbh- Hopefully fate doesn't say "NO YOU'LL NOT SEE HIM CUS WHATEVER YOU EXPECT WILL NEVER HAPPEN" or smtg along the lines.
