The battle started two days ago and raged terribly. Countless dead. But with the constant barbarian attacks on Madinus? We figured it was just another fight in a neverending war.
It's different. And I don't know who's behind it, but they're smart. They make sure the only people who find out it's different are the ones cut off from the rest of the world, and about to die.
I found out it's different.
I don't want to die.
I've locked myself into one of the preservation chambers to write this, but I know I'm only buying time. There's no hope for me. But I can protect this log. Whoever finds it—these aren't just barbarians. There are magicians. And they aren't with the Church.
It's probably too late for Madinus. We're fighting this war wrong. Even if we did it right, there would be no way to survive. These magicians are doing things we didn't know magicians could do—they appear from thin air, they tear people's bodies apart with their minds. They're led by one they call Memories. She's the strongest of the magicians.
We're fighting Spaceside but it's no use. They're already down here. They're behind us. They've already defeated us. But whoever comes after us—whoever sees this. These aren't barbarians. They're something more.
But they'll fall. I know it. They may kill me, but they'll never kill the Church.
They won't defeat Him!
