Earth to Alex. Hello?

*Alex's pov* 

Purple. 

Her hair was purple now. 

It has been a week since school started and here I was sitting with my goofy friends at lunch while Johnnie and Kyle throw fries at each other. I keep glancing at her direction and stop myself everytime I notice. Checking her out low key was more difficult than I thought. 

No. I had to stop, I turned my gaze around and decided to not stare at her anymore. Yup, that was final. But then I heard it. She laughed and I had to look. I had to. As soon as I looked, I regretted it because I felt really jealous that I could not be the one making her laugh. 

Damn, what was I thinking? 

She continued to smile and giggle with her boyfriend, Diego. I don't think I've ever been this jealous of a guy before. 

"Hey, Alex? Alex? Earth to Alex. Alex?" I suddenly heard someone calling my name and saw Jordan looking at me weirdly. 

"What?" I murmured confused. 

"I asked you, did you hear the song I sent you?" He asked me. 

"Um no." I answered him, coming back to the reality. 

"See I told you I'm the only one who bothers!" Jeydon said to him. "Of course, of course." Jordan said and they continued with their conversation. I looked at my plate full of food. When I looked up, I saw Bryan looking at me with an expression that said he knew something was up. 

The bell went off and we got up to keep our trays. I was walking when Bryan caught up with me. 

"Checking out the new girl?" He asked casually. My eyes went wide, was it that obvious? "Um what are you talking about?" I asked him. "I know you weren't checking out Diego Navarrette." 

"And how do you know I was not?" I said defensively. 

"Alex please, we've known each long enough for me to know who you're ogling at." He said with a smirk. "Hey." I said and hit his arm. 

"Talk to her." He said as we walked to class. "No! I can't." 

"Oh come on, do it." He said, "We'll see." I replied and we separated to our classes. 

The class went on as usual and as the bell rang I got a text from Bryan. 

Meet me outside my locker, got a surprise for uuuuu c: 

I wondered what the surprise was and walked directly to his locker which wasn't very far. As I got there, I froze. Bryan was talking to Shannon and they were laughing away to whatever they were talking about. 

"Oh hey Alex!" Bryan said as he looked at me. I was still shocked and said hi in a small voice. 

"Shannon, this is one of my best friends Alex. Alex this is Shannon, we're in the same English class. Guess what? She likes the same music as us!" 

"Hey there I'm Shannon!" Shannon said to me with a salute. I just wanted to melt then and there.
